  • Excellent place to stay

"We really enjoyed stayin in this condo. I spnt the first week there with another guy as bachelors. The room setup was perfect for two parties, as the bedrooms were large and essentially equivelent in size & setup. Then, as my family arrived the next week, the room configuration worked well to provide adequate seperation for the kids at bedtime. It offers nice privacy if folks need that. The rest of the condo was great as well. I might have started this review with the incredible view of the sunset. As you walk into the condo, you're treated with an unobstructed, western-facing view of the Pacific Ocean. We enjoyed this perspective on the nice lanai for most meals during the irst several days. While it was 10-days before I turned the TV on, the living room was well-appointed with furnature and electronics. Loved the streamining Netflix! The kitchen was great as well. What I appreciated greatly was the fact that previous guests had filled the kitchen with spices, cooking essentials (oil, etc.), and even some food items worth keeping (there were even 3-beers in the fridge; although I was not drinking until after the Ironman). [Advice for travelers: visit the cond first before shopping, as you may aoid some purchases.] If you have heard of Turtle Beach, well, it's just a short walk down the hill from the condo (300-feet). Our kids love that beach. I also appreciated how close the condo was to Keahou shopping center. I could go on, but I think most folks will get the idea that this is an excellent place to stay."

  • Home Away From Home

"This was the perfect home to celebrate my son's 10th birthday. I lived in Kona in '93-'95 and fell in love with it instantly, so I was happy to be able to stay near town. It felt like "home". The owner met us on the first day; showed us around and was just all around sweet. It was everything and more. We spent a lot of time out on the lanai which was perfect for watching the surfers and sunsets. I hope to return very soon. Thank you!! Stacy K."

  • Great studio

"This sweet little studio on the second floor in the Kona Islander Inn compares very well to other condos we have rented at this location over the years. It is nicely decorated and has the amenities necessary for a lovely vacation. The pricing is very reasonable. The view is diagonally towards the ocean and you can hear the waves crashing from the lanai. The Inn is close to everything in downtown Kona. Renting a car is not necessary if you like an in-town vacation."

  • Fun Kona Stay

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo is an excellent choice when vacationing in Kona. It is spacious and clean, well located oceanfront and a short walk to Kona town. Although it is older, the condo has been updated and is well maintained. The kitchen is really well supplied, one of the best I have seen. Air conditioning in the bedroom would be a great addition for really humid periods as it was during our visit, but the fan helped quite a bit. My only complaints are that the elevator only stops between floors for some reason so one is always walking up and down stairs. Also, there are many, many locked gates that require unlocking with a key to get both into and out of the pool, bbq area, and the ocean/beach, but only 1 key per unit-- difficult unless everyone comes and goes at the same time."
