  • Great Location for Kona

"My family stayed in this condo for a week, and had a very nice time. The location is excellent, and allows for walking access to most Kona restaurants. The unit is very large and well furnished. There are two full bathrooms, and a redone kitchen. Two of the three bedrooms have large Japanese style sliding doors for privacy. This may seem odd at first, but worked quite well. The unit is air conditioned, which we needed during the hot Kona summer. The unit has one parking spot. The views out on to the water are excellent, as the unit is quite high up. The building seems to have an issue with ants. While this was a bit off putting, we stored almost all food in the refrigerator, and washed dishes right after use. This seemed to alleviate most of the issue."

  • Great place for family of 6

"Our family loved the condo, there was definitely enough room for us all. It did not disappoint is in any way. Loved that there was beach toys, boogie boards, chairs and beach umbrella all tucked away in the garage. Love the location, quiet and peaceful away from the busy life on Alii Drove. The complex was very clean, the pool and hot tub were also a plus. One thing that would benefit this condo is its own bbq. Would save time going to the pool are to use the common bbq. The scuba diving in Kona was spectular especially the night manta dive, it was absolutely amazing. Our favourite beach was Hapuna you must wear sandals as the sand gets very hot! We will be back :) Would definitely rent this unit again."

  • Comfortable & Affordable

"We've stayed in Kailua-Kona many times, mostly on the waterfront. Now wanted to save money, so tried KP. Pros: Very clean. Comfortable bed, plenty of pillows, VERY large bedroom with room for suitcases. Air conditioning, important for us. Good strong ceiling fans. 2 bathrooms- in condos we usually find minimal counter space so it was nice for us to each have a bathroom. Dishwasher. Nice lanais, decent views for location. Walk to Don's, Huggo's etc no parking hassles. Very quiet. Could be better: Older cooking pots/utensils/cutlery. Need better fry pan. Kitchen a tight squeeze near fridge/micro. Strong pesticide smell 1/wk. Cons: Difficult parking garage, lots of posts/cement walls, hard to pull in/out, we scraped car on ramp. Best with compact car."

  • Beautiful!

"My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. When we first checked in, the management company saw that we were staying in A5 and their response was "You have the most beautiful condo at Kona Reef!"- and they were right. The pictures don't do it justice. You can tell that there was a lot of attention to detail and effort put into making this place special. The location also doesn't hurt. The lanai is feet from the ocean, and the condo just a short walk into the heart of Kona. We were there over the 4th of July and got to watch the fireworks over Kailua Bay right from our lanai with a glass of wine in hand- perfect!. Great sunset views as well. We only had one hiccup while we were there when the A/C unit gave out in the middle of the night. We let the management company know first thing the next morning and they came right out and had it fixed ASAP. We were impressed with their efforts to take care of the problem quickly. We will definitely stay here again when we are able to come back and have already recommended this specific condo to many people! Thank you for having us!"
