  • Great View

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfectly situated on the ocean front. We had issues with the unit above us. They were doing construction most of the 7 days we were there. I Understand that is not in your control but it still hindered our relaxing vacation. We spent $1500 and went above our budget because of the view. It was a shame that the drilling interfered with our enjoyment of the lani. Tile and construction debris flew in the are and left a mess on our lani. I was impressed with the vacation management company as the did clean the lani off and made sure we had everything we needed. Just a bummer we had to deal with it all. As we left we noticed they had finished the work. Just our luck lol."

  • Hawaiian Oasis

"I am writing this review because I believe no matter what ads or pictures say, they say only so much and reviews make a huge difference. With that said, I don't know if I can find the right words to express this amazing Hawaiian oasis. As soon as we drove up it was simply breath taking as good as the photos are it does not do this amazing home justice. There isn't one negative thing to say, the house was very comfortable, spacious. and inviting. Every single room was amazing, not one great room and the rest just alright, each and every room was awesome. The pool and lanai was perfect the sunset and sunrise left you speechless. I seriously could go on and on. In closing this review I have to thank Adam the caretaker, he is awesome what a great person, and there if you need him in a minute with great advice for all kinds of things. It was the best experience I have ever had. I cant say it enough. We will be back for sure. Mahalo"

  • Love that view from cozy, comfortable home away from home

"We really enjoyed our stay at your place in Hawaii. I don't know if it's helpful to list all the things that we liked about your place. We loved the view out the back, found the doors shielded the noise from the surf quite well when shut, but we preferred them open whenever we were awake and at home. The bikes worked great for short errands. The dishes and pans covered all our needs, we ate breakfast at home every day, but ate out most other meals, except for leftovers. We watched a couple movies on the new TV screen and never watched TV. Clothing storage space was a little tight, but since it was just the two of us, living out of suitcase was fine with a few hangups in the closet. We loved the dining table near the back door for a great view while enjoying a relaxing meal. Equally nice was the sunset view while sitting on the couch. The decor is great too. Being able to walk to the beach next door for some of the best snorkeling that I've had on any tropical island was the best highlight for me. The variety of fish was impressive as were the total number of fish. I usually only see that many fish where this fish are routinely fed. The close to centralized location allowed us to do a number of activities and still have some quality relaxation time hanging out at the home base where it is typically quiet. We were only there for a week, but it felt like home right away. With so many options of activities to choose from, we felt limited by time and money, but really liked the things we choose: Zipline in Hilo, scuba, snorkel, swim w/ manna-rays at night, church at Living Stones on Alii Dr, start gazing tour on Mauna Kea, dinner at Huggos, trips to never enough beaches."

  • Perfect for Our University Student Group Spending a Week on the Big Island

"Our university group stayed at the Lako house to accommodate our group of 21 while we were studying geography on the Big Island. The location was great -- not too far from the local shopping where we bought groceries, etc. Our students loved the house -- it gave them a chance to bond while the professors stayed in the ohana suite. We are already working on our reservation for next year. Great staff, beautiful home, and a few minutes from the ocean."
