  • Great vacation great accommodations!

"We stayed 11 days in February of 2016 and found the description and pictures more then meeting our expectations. The complex was very quiet and we generally had the pool to ourselves. The unit was very clean, easy to find with the detailed instructions from Shannan, and very comfortable. The Condo overlooks Kahaluu Beach park which is a very popular snorkeling location with good surfing just north of the park. We filled up a camera memory card with dozens of fish species and a number of turtles who were quite accustom to people. The condo itself was perfect for us (two couples) although I could see it also working for families as there is plenty of room and would highly recommend it. Great sunsets from the Lanai and we enjoyed our morning coffee there. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and everything in the condo was in working order. There is a shopping center within an easy 1/2 mile walk or drive and several nearby farmers markets. Hawaii is the "big island" and volcano national park is quite a drive from Kailua Kona so plan your adventures with that in mind."

  • AMAZING VIEW!

"Condo was very clean and comfortable. Beautiful views and well-appointed lanai. Washer/dryer and A/C in unit was so nice to have! We really enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable, the TV was great and there were plenty of towels. I didn't give it 5 stars because of three reasons - 1) The bathroom. It doesn't doesn't offer a lot of privacy with the glass blocks (clear glass and they don't go all the way to the ceiling) and no fan so you can hear people doing their business. We remedied this by the one of us not using the bathroom going outside on the lanai so the other'd have privacy. 2) The kitchen is lacking in dishes, silverware and appliances. No toaster, only two sets of utensils, two plates, two bowls, two mugs, etc. 3) I totally understand we were in a tropical location but a cockroach ran across my foot at one point. It was the only one we saw and I'm sure it was the location rather than the condition/cleanliness of the condo. Still a little disconcerting! That being said, we'd probably stay again just because of the view and the amenities that the condo did have. The kitchen and cockroach issues can be addressed, not sure that the bathroom can be fixed though. We still made it work!"

  • As advertised

"Exactly as presented. We've rented five houses on the mountain nearby Hwy 190 and 180. Prefer the cooler temps, especially in the evening. This house is by far the most modern and well maintained. Everything works. Great view from the large Lanai. We'll stay a month next time."

  • Wish we were back in Kona

"My wife and I love the Hawaiian Islands and have spent time on all of them with the Big Island being our favorite. So renewing our vows after 25 years in this special place only made since. We had a group of 8 family and friends joining us for a small ceremony down in the park next to Magic Sands. This house was a perfect fit for our 9 day stay. The house was well stocked with items to cook, snorkel, and bogie board. The lanai, pool, kitchen, and living area had plenty of space and we never felt crowded. Every evening we would eat out on the lanai and then hang out through the evening talking and staring at the stars. The short walk to the beach (202 steps) was great for snorkeling and bogie boarding. The location was great for access to easily get to anywhere. Our little group of 8 were from all corners of the continental US, so each of us dealt with the heat differently. It was nice to have the big fans so we could circulate air in the house. And having the two upstairs bedrooms with AC was great. The downstairs rooms stayed comfortable with fans. I would recommend this house to friends. It was a nice home away from home. We miss watching the geckos. PS: Loved having the grill on the lanai but they need to get some wire brushes to clean off the grill."
