  • Great location!

"The location of Hale Kona Kai is very convenient for anybody who would want to explore the Kona side of the island. It is in a short walking distance to the shops and restaurants, but not in a midst of it. There are a few great breakfast spots a few steps from the condo, although we had most breakfasts on our lanai in unit 307. The ocean view was breathtaking! The closets and kitchen were fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. The condo was spotlessly clean, although a little dated (the sofa bed will need a replacement soon). I would recommend this condo to my friends, and I would gladly stay there again."

  • Fabulous condo facing the best snorkelling beach ever!

"Loved the condo. Spacious, clean, light and airy - the sea breezes blew through it to keep it cool even though it was pretty hot when we were there. Gorgeous pool and surrounding area, we used it every day. Lots of thoughtful touches to make our vacation special - water shoes, kids life jackets, beach chairs and umbrella. There was snorkelling kit too (we didn't need to borrow it as we had our own), body boards and paddle board - meant to use them but never quite got round to it! Best of all though was the beach opposite - not the prettiest to look at but nice facilities (showers, snorkelling rental if you need it) and AMAZING snorkelling. The water is not that deep so you're up close to the fish, like being in an aquarium. And sea turtles too. Duane was super responsive and easy to deal with. The onsite manager Sonya was very helpful, organised, great recommendations for shopping and restaurants. We chose the place because it was away from the big resorts - close enough to civilisation when we wanted it but without the crowds. We visited several beaches in our 4 days there, the kayaking across kealakekua bay (with the dolphins!) was a highlight. Great trip with Kona Boys. Highly recommend the condo."

  • This property has everything you need to enjoy an economical stay in Kailua-Kona. Clean comfortable

"Easy access for parking. View the ocean from your bed or Lanai. Simply cross the street to a very active surfing Beach spot and/or access to the pool. A clean comfortable studio condo that certainly invites us back to enjoy the Big Island - we couldn't see it all in the week we had! Rebecca (who we never actually met)was so helpful and checked in on us via email to ensure our every need was met. Made us feel special."

  • Fabulous home base for our team!

"Our Ragnar relay team stayed at Maluhia Hale for 4 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The house was perfect for a large group, some who had never met! The spaces was open and inviting, kitchen, dining and living room had plenty of space for everyone to be together, yet the bedrooms offered privacy, as did the Ohana suite below. The house was kept well, clean and had all the utensils/kitchen equipment we needed. The private pool is beautiful, and as i mentioned, we all wished we could have spent more time enjoying. The location of the house was great....close to everything in the Kona area."
