  • This house is fantastic, and the owners were extremely friendly and awesome!

"This was one of 3 rentals we booked for our wedding week in Hawaii, and it was our favorite one, by far. Sadly, my husband and I did not stay in this house until our last night there, but we decided to put most of our family at this location for the week-- and we're really glad that we did! We heard nothing but good things about this place, and we loved everything about it ourselves. This property is great for parties with individuals that want some privacy, while still being able to hang out together. The common area is nice and open, and includes a tv lounge, a roomy dining table, seats by the pool, and an awesome fire-pit in front of one of the suites (we s'mored it up a few nights). The rooms and beds were very comfortable, and they had extra sleeping spots on futons and day beds. The suite my husband and I stayed in on our last night, had a detached outdoor shower area, that we really loved. The other suites had attached indoor bathrooms. If I had to say something negative about the place, it would only be that they don't have a microwave or oven-- but you really don't need it! They have a really nice grill with a huge flat cooking surface, and we made bacon and eggs for about 10 people on our last morning there. They have a big fridge in the garage, and a small fridge in the common area, so it was really everything that we needed. Though you're not right on the water here, the property overlooks the ocean and it offers incredible sunsets every night. It is only about a 12 min. drive to Kailua Kona too, so it's a really nice spot. I highly recommend it. Burl and Debbie were really awesome, and their property is beautiful. My husband and I have already decided to try and book the place when we come back in the future!"

  • Relaxation at its best!

"My husband and I went to relax and this place was perfect. The pictures don't do it justice. The Catanzaro's are wonderful people and provide a great place to stay. Hope to be back soon."

  • Beautiful location

"Four of us (two couples) stayed in this condo in early March (2017) and enjoyed our time there. The 'star' feature is the location and the lanai: beautiful oceanfront, with waves breaking just 20-30 metres away. And the 'ocean' pool (one of three pools on the property) is a 30 second walk from the front door. We spent every morning having breakfast and coffee on the lanai, taking in the sights and activities in front of us: some whales (although far out), outriggers and an assortment of other boats, paddleboarders, etc. The ocean front is not suitable for swimming; you'll have to drive to some of the Big Island's noted swimming and snorkelling spots for that. The condo was very well equipped; all the kitchen items you need - we made dinners, lunches there many days -, many amenities (including TV, disc player, an iPod doc for music) and very comfortable rooms. Rooms had fans which were fine for moving air at this time of year--air conditioning not really needed. There is lots of information about Island activities both in the unit and at the concierge desk by main office. And a convenient shopping centre with a large grocery store is less than 5 minutes drive away. Some things to note: - If you rely on WiFi to keep connected, the unit does include WiFi, BUT the signal really only covers the bedrooms/office area well. It's spotty in living area and non-existent on the lanai. - You will require a vehicle rental to really get around and explore the Island. But it's a good base to do that from. - Not the owner's fault at all, but depending who is residing in the unit directly above--it can be a bit noisy on lanai (chairs dragging on tile floor, loud voices), and in rooms if upstairs guests have 'heavy feet'. But it was a minor issue for us. Hey--you're in Hawaii after Aloha!"

  • Home away from home!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love this property. We were there for a month in February/March and loved it so much we booked it for another month. The house is beautiful. Has all the amenities that you need. The pool is great. And the privacy in the backyard is worth every penny! The management company, Kona Coast Vacation was the best. Anything that needed attention, I would call them and whatever it was, was taken care that day. We were there for 30 plus days and we really never left the property, except for groceries. We hope to be able to book it again for an even longer stay. Believe me, you won't be disappointed!!!"
