  • Work and Family

"The purpose of my trip was to work and visit family, along with being close to the ocean. This place had everything you'd need to feel at home. Everything from booking online, to finding the property, to entering and exiting the unit was a breeze. After work I wanted to relax and did just that by being next to the ocean - all the sounds was from nature and very little from people. You can't really hear the cars from the street. I gave this a 4 star only because I felt the floors wasn't sweep before my arrival - but really no big deal - there was a broom and mop and it took only 5 minutes - I'm a picky person who wants my floors clean. Also two burners on the stove didn't seem to work - but again - no big deal - I had two other burners that worked just fine. I would highly recommend this place as I feel the owners went above and beyond to make it as homey as possible and I felt that way cause there was everything you would have needed as if its your own place. I wanted to stay longer even after staying there for five nights already. The return deposit was quick. Mahalo Nancy!"

  • Great amenities, awesome view

"This property was absolutely perfect for our vacation! The covered balcony offers 180 degree view of the ocean and is quite spacious. Being further up the hill from the ocean allows for a cool breeze even when it is quite stuffy and hot near the beach. We didn't even go out to eat anywhere, since we got the best view of the sunset right from our balcony! The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Waking up every morning to that beautiful view was quite amazing. One thing to note: there is no air conditioning. But being up the hill, the breeze was quite adequate, though some visitors may not find that satisfactory. It didn't bother us, since the balcony is fully shaded, we spent most of the time outside the house. Overall, a great experience."

  • Great Stay!

"We recently stayed in this Unit last week for 10 nights. The unit was clean, updated, and we'll furnished. Grounds were immaculate, grills were awesome, and pool and spa were nice. The AC also worked well. We did everything that the Big Island offers. One night we stayed in Volcano and I would not do that again. All Kona stuff is in walking distance. I found the KTA market in town a reasonable option for groceries. It is a short distance to Da Poke Shack that has great seafood. Greg was a pleasure to deal with. I'd have no problems suggesting this unit to others."

  • Couldn't Ask For More

"My wife and I stayed in Bruce and Barb's rental property for our 20th wedding anniversary. The house was perfect. Everything we could have needed was there including DVDs, games, snorkel and beach equipment. The house was decorated with amazing artifacts that must have taken years to collect. Make sure you look closely at everything. Bruce and Barb are the perfect hosts. If you need it they can provide helpful tips on what to see and where to go. The location was ultra quiet but we could still hear the ocean waves from the lanai. We'll be sure to contact Bruce and Barb the next time we're on the big island. Mahalo!!!"
