  • Great location, Great Property, Great Price.

"Our second time in the Surf and Racquet club due to its proximity to Kailua Kona, and excellent snorkelling just north of the condo, and 20 mile south at two-step. This really is a great location. If you like these activities, and also like whiling away the hours with a good book, a glass of wine, and a view of the ocean, I highly recommend it. The condo was huge - could have slept 6. At least that way, my wife did not have to endure my snores, and I could sleep with the doors and drapes open. The Lanai gives a great view of the ocean, and has room for sunbeds and a table. There was a little maintenance item: upstairs blinds has ceased. This was of no concern to us because were were not using that room anyway."

  • Great place to stay---close to everything.

"We needed a place to stay close to Kailua and found the Kona Makai to be just just right--only 5 minutes by car or 20 minute walk to town. Our top floor unit had a loft for some extra teen room and the two twins in the 2nd bedroom provided great sleeping flexibility. Kitchen was well stocked as promised and we cooked at the BBQs most nights--never having to wait and enjoying the fraternity with others. For sunset, we joined the others by the water since our balcony didn't view that direction--but all good again with just a short walk and plenty of plastic glasses in stock. They are serious about the pool rules with a vigilant manager on site--no kids after 8pm and all out by 9pm. Never had a problem with parking, though spots are assigned and you will have to walk a bit. Can always double park a bit for loading & unloading. Accessing the water for snorkeling just off the rocks there was not hard for adults (watch others first!), but not something for kids. Just down the road was the perfect easy access place though (Kahaluu Bay). Long sandy beaches aren't to be found in the south, but about an hour north is plenty (Hapuna perfect for boogie boarding). And don't miss the Volcano National Park! Overall, great location and nice place to stay!"

  • Great Location, Beautiful View!

"A tastefully appointed, and well equipped condo. Almost every morning we ate breakfast on the lanai with a stunning view of the ocean. Jackie was quick to respond to any questions or issues we had. Convenient to Ali'i drive (for anyone traveling for the Ironman). An excellent base for your adventures, and also a great place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. I did both. :)"

  • Kona Paradise

"We had a wonderful time here, what a beautiful home. You can just sit and watch the ocean all day long if you desire. The owners and property management company where wonderful in making us feel at home. I dont think there is a better location in all of the islands. peaceful, elegant and relaxing, yet only 5 minutes from town. everything you could need is right around the corner, yet when you are at the house you feel miles away from everything. The sound of the waves on the rocks at night was just magical. We got home and could not sleep the first night, it was just too quiet. we absolutely loved this home and hope to be back soon. Thank You Sheree"
