  • Best ever...

"This is our 8th trip to the Big Island and the stay at this beautiful home/villa was the absolute best. Cameron and the Management Co. Staff were ideal to work with before and during our stay. The floor plan of this property is excellent and the furnishings are beautiful. The Hualalai location is superb and the villa is so convenient, particularly with access to the Four Seasons amenities. We enjoyed the two patio areas immensely and watched the awesome sunsets each evening. I highly recommend this beautiful villa. We hope to return soon! Mahalo, Cameron."

  • Beautiful property near Kailua Kona

"We just returned from a Hawaii trip with the extended family. There were 12 of us altogether. We spent half our time on Oahu and half on Hawaii. Joe and Dana are the owners of this lovely home. It was large enough to accommodate us comfortably. There are 3 bedrooms in the main house, one of the rooms with a secret sliding bookshelf door. Each of the rooms have its own bathroom with shower or tub. There is a swimming pool which you have exclusive use of. There is a pool house which also has a bedroom, living room, bath and a small kitchenette. Two of the bedrooms are built into the 3 stall garage. The rooms have separate entrances and each also has bathroom/shower. So there is privacy with each room. There is a large patio with outdoor table and chairs and there is a large dining table inside the main house also. I would have been happy just lounging around this house enjoying the view and the pool. However there are many beaches and water activities accessible within short driving distance from the home. (we went snorkeling with the dolphins, night snorkeling with manta rays, shopping/eating at the Kona Inn Shopping Mall nearby). Grocery store is also a short drive away. Distance to the airport is about 15 min. There is a Costco nearby also. Volcano and Hilo are on the other side of the island, about 2+ hour drive there. Joe and Dana live nearby and are very responsive if you need anything. They have for your use some snorkels, boogie boards, pool toys, booster seats if you need to use them. There is cable if you have time to watch television and a pretty large collection of movies on DVD in the living room. Only downside is that the wildlife (birds, especially wild chicken which seem to roam on Hawaii and Kauai) like to wake you up early with their noise. No air conditioning and we were there in the height of the summer. Ceiling fans in every room help or jump in the pool to cool down. I recommend this house and would stay there again if visiting Kona with a larger group."

  • Amazing Family Reunion Trip to Hale Lani

"Our families rented this house for a week long family reunion with siblings/ families. We had 10 guests from 12 years to 65 years old plus my sister and DH who lived a few minutes away visited often. The house and location was perfect. Very easy to find and close to everything with a few minutes drive via car. The house has two levels - sort of an inverted house. The drive and top entrance comes into the living room or the kitchen door. With the master and another King size bedroom on either side of this level plus a futon room perfect for one adult or child. The lower level had a 3 single bedroom, A large pull out sleeper sofa and a separate queen sized bed type apartment with another kitchen. The second refrigerator came in very handy for our food storage. We cooked several meals at the house and grilled on the gas grill on the lani by the kitchen. The pool was bigger than I thought it would be and even the sandy area was nicer than I expected. Everyone loved the large round hot tub too! We all fit in the pool and had a ball tossing around balls and playing with the included pool toys. The Tiki hut at the pool had a small fridge. To get to the pool you go one flight of stairs down to the grassy yard. Lots of room and very quiet!. But hands down the best feature of the house is the balconies, namely the top balcony with a wonderful view of the ocean. Nice breeze and cooler temps than the coast. With two large tables and seating for 12 plus the bar area and 4 padded chairs it was great to gather here to eat, and visit each day. Plus the stars at night and the moon were outstanding! Could not have been better! I was worried it would be too hot to sleep- but even with days in the upper 80's the nights were perfect with the ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Everything was clean- this is the tropics so there was the odd bug or two- but sitting on the balcony at night with the lights on under the eaves we did not have issues with mosquitos etc. Loved watching the geckos ( walking upsidedown) gather around the lights above us waiting for their bug meals. So cute! Hawaiian cardinals came to the balcony looking for some bread hand outs each day. A flock of birds roosted next to the house each evening. Loved the sound of the birds each morning too. A Rooster and his girls was often sighted around the property. This house was so economical for a large group- better than a resort! Thanks Richard for all your help! We loved this house!!"
