  • Excellent

"Rick's house on Kealakekua Bay is spacious and beautiful. It is well designed, immaculate and it has everything you need for a great vacation. The old school Hawaiian style beach is a short walk down the road for swimming and relaxing . The house has great views of the bay, sunsets, the surf and even the Captain Cook monument across the bay. The area is full of Hawaiian history and archaeological monuments. It is well located right next to the bay with a great market at the top of the hill and a couple quaint villages near by for dining. I would definitely go back here. Thanks Rick! It was an easy relaxing week!"

  • A perfect paradise!

"We so enjoyed our stay, just over a week, in this beautiful home (and truly immaculate!). The views were spectacular, the sunsets incredible! The kitchen is very well equipped and we cooked almost every day. Our children loved going to 'their house' every evening after dinner and then coming back to 'our house' for desert! The pool was so clean and warm we used it each day. We will definitely come back and I highly recommend this home!"

  • Can't be beat!

"This beautiful home is spacious, well-appointed and carefully maintained. The location is amazing, right on the water with gorgeous sunset views! The property is large and very peaceful with beautiful foliage. The jacuzzi and outdoor lava rock shower make it a true paradise. I loved drifting to sleep each night to the sound of the waves. Included in the rental was access to kayaks and the boat launch located just two houses away. We had such an amazing time kayaking out to the spinner dolphins each morning and hopping in for the most exceptional experience! The snorkeling at the monument is world class. Also just 4 miles down the road is The City of Refuge "two step" which had great snorkeling as well. Our family ranged from our little kids (age 3 & 5), to our teenagers (15 & 18) and my in-laws in their 70's. Everyone had a great time. There is truly something for everyone here. We will definitely be visiting the Dolphin Retreat again as soon as we can. There is something magical about this place!"

  • Great!

"Spent 8 days on the Big Island and loved it! A big part of this was the location. Stacey's property was peaceful and quiet. Stacey was a great host with fresh fruit offerings including papaya, bananas, mango, and pineapple. Location was perfect for access to snorkeling at Two-Step and Kealakekua Bay (spinner dolphins). Also easy access to Highway 11 South which takes you to green and black sand beaches as well as Volcanoes National Park. Wonderful space to enjoy Hawaii!"
