  • Wonderful remote setting with a fantastic view -- with a couple of quibbles.

"We, two couples, spent a week in Vikorya's little retreat. There is a lot of positive things to say: beautiful site, separate cabins, each with comfortable beds and accomodating bathrooms, and at a reasonable price for the area. The driveway to the cabin is quite long, but the area is close to a decent grocery store and don't miss the great fresh fruit stand just across the highway. We are all "birders" and we were greatly entertained by the mixed flock of birds that presented themselves every morning for breakfast -- at least 12 different species. We used the little outdoor kitchen for breakfasts and most dinners (mainly BBQ) and found it adequate -- there could have been a better collection of glasses, bowls and tableware -- we understand upgrades to the kitchen are planned. And one couple mistakenly left out a little food in their bedroom and were greeted with hoards of tiny bugs in the morning. Other quibbles include the difficult directions given to find the place (apparently we accidently got the "old" directions) and two of the four sets of snorkeling gear was unusable -- we were counting on them for our snorkeling adventures. (Be sure to check out "Two Step Beach" nearby for snorkeling and Spinner Dolphins.) Overall, we found the property to be well-situated, well-located and a good value. We especially liked the peaceful location that, ultimately, was a great jumping off location for exploring Big Island. Viktorya and Mike were very accommodating hosts -- thanks."

  • Lovely cottage!

"Spent 5 nights in this wonderful cottage. We were amazed at how quiet and peaceful the property is. Owner was very welcoming and available for questions and suggestions if you want. Cottage is separate from main house, and very well equipped, clean, and beautiful. Close to Honaunau, Two Step, Keahou Bay where we took a raft trip to Kealakekua Bay for stunning snorkeling . Also toured the nearby Big Island Bees farm. Thanks for a wonderful stay!"

  • Your own slice of paradise

"What an amazing place to stay on the Big Island. My wife and I recently spent a week here and it exceeded our expectations. The condo has been beautifully remodeled and decorated. It's the perfect size for two. Has all the amenities you could need and a perfect view of the ocean and sunsets in the evening. Ivy, the owner, is quick to respond and super helpful. Aloha!"

  • Very nice condo!

"Nice condo in good location. Close driving distance to great beaches, restaurants and shopping. All the supplies you can think of were provided such as mats, boogie boards for the beach,, spices in the kitchen, sewing kit and a first aid kit. . Comfortable beds and lots of towels in the bathrooms. This unit was not on the water but you could easily hear the waves at night from the bedroom window. A map showing the walking path to the beach would have been helpful. We did not find this until the last day. Also, I wanted to write in your guest book but I couldn't find a pen."
