  • Loved Every Minute

"This condo is exactly as pictured and the owner is a joy to work with. There was nothing better than sleeping with the doors open and waking to the crashing waves just outside the balcony. The view from the lanai is absolutely breathtaking; I promise you won't want to leave to explore the island. The condo is on the third floor and while there may have been an elevator, we didn't search for it. The only time I disliked the stairs where packing luggage and groceries up ... But that's my fault for brining so many clothes. The kitchen is very well equipped with spices, cooking, and eating tools. There is even snorkeling gear we borrowed for the beach that was within walking distance. The neighbors were friendly and the condo was extremely private and quiet. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Treat yourself and reserve this place. You won't regret it!!"

  • Wonderful!!

"What a beautiful home, perched on the hill, with a panoramic view of the ocean!! We enjoyed our stay on the Big Island and this house offered it all. Wonderful kitchen, quiet bedrooms, delightful pool and a location that is central to many of the Island’s wonders. The home is located in a very quiet, gated community, yet despite being in a neighborhood, you felt like you were in a private reserve. We traveled the Island with our niece, who lives on the Island, so we took in many of the sights, sounds, tastes, and smells of the Island. Tropical fruit, Kona coffee, rain forests and botanical reserves, kayaking to the Captain Cook monument, snorkeling with the manta rays, and so much more! Mahalo!"

  • VERY WELL ARRANGED SET-UP WITH NO CONFUSION ON GETTING IN ROOM.

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: RESERVATIONS EASY TO PLAN, EASY TO CARRY OUT, AND VERY NICE SURROUNDINGS TO STAY IN. WAS KIND OF SEPARATED FROM MY SIBLINGS, BUT WHEN THEY CAME TO MY UNIT, THEY LIKED IT! THE LAGE-SCREEN TV WAS AWESOME!"

  • Wonderfully comfortable and relaxing, gorgeous views and great amenities

"We would go back in a heartbeat, and definitely try to book this unit again. Yes it is a 3-floor walk-up, and there is no air conditioning, but with plenty of fans, sliding screen doors, an expansive wrap-around lanai for outdoor dining, watching sunsets and breaking waves, it's hard to picture a nicer spot. We only closed the glass sliders one evening when a tropical storm blew by. This an end unit with south and west exposure, really great views from third floor level. Third floor gives you the most privacy also. Being on the top floor, this unit had great high sloping ceilings which added significantly to the feeling of openness. There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms, washer/dryer, a perfectly adequate kitchen with all the standard expected appliances, and the refrigerator has a dynamite ice maker and there are lots of cold packs in the freezer. Good size combined dining and living room, but my wife and I took all our meals out to the dining table on the lanai. Main bedroom area has a king bed, view of the ocean and there are sliding shoji screens that can be closed to provide privacy from the living/dining area if so desired. This bed was very comfortable. Second bedroom has a queen size bed and the windows in this room face the mountains. There are plenty of closets, lots of hangers, beach toys like noodles, coolers for packing lunches for day trips, plenty of beach towels, bath linens, etc. Although we only used the TV to check storm forecasts the instructions were easy to understand and lots of channels available. Also CD player in the unit and wi-fi in the complex. It seemed plenty fast for the business correspondence I occasionally needed to do with my morning coffee. I brought binoculars but owner also has two pair in the unit. The KKSRC has three really nice tennis courts and a large pool which is about to undergo some refurbishment. We spent time there every day and it was delightful. The grounds are very well tended and the landscaping is quite mature and lovely. To give the condo buildings and the townhouses some additional privacy there is no long continuous walk along the water edge or rather the 20'+ high, broken lava cliff edge. You can walk along a couple of the buildings and then the paths end either in broken lava scree or dense low barrier hedges which you don't want to try to walk through. Being an older resort (35+ years) it was built quite close to the ocean edge which makes for a delightful and picturesque setting."
