"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is on the beach (lava rock). You can look over the waves all day and night, watch sunsets and listen to the waves break right outside your door. Conveniently located near a shopping center with grocery stores, taprooms and restaurants. Located about 6 miles south of downtown Kona, just far away to be peaceful, yet close enough to be convenient. Walking distance to two beaches. The second floor condo itself is upgraded throughout, with shoji screens and wraparound lanai enhancing the open feel. Kitchen and baths are high end with thorough instructions. The owners have thought of everything."

  • Right on the Ocean

"This condo was everything that we had hoped for. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the deck and watching the ocean waves crash against the black rocks. The location is excellent -- near a very nice shopping center with an excellent grocery store and several very nice restaurants. Highly recommended!!"

  • Tons of privacy, perfect location and perfect set up!

"Was looking for a place to celebrate a get together with siblings from back east. The waterfront, lanai and pictures of the inside of the condo are what made us choose this unit. What we found ended up being better than in the photos. We're into food and were pleasantly surprised with the kitchen supplies and set up. Also lots of privacy both inside the condo and outside (rooms well laid out and the building is the last at the end of the road). Little surprises we did not expect made our trip easier: access to a small cooler with ice packs and high grade Tupperware so we could bring lunches and food every day. The welcoming kit was also a nice touch. It rained a lot during the trip but we had all our meals outside, and our mellow after dinner time was also outside listening to the waves crashing. Very quiet place, clean and with beautiful landscaping. This being a corner unit gave us more lanai space and privacy than other units nearby. We were treated to a 30-min show of whales breaching right in front of the unit on our last morning. When arranging the booking, the owner was very responsive and accommodating and we never waited more than a day to get clarifications or updates. The unit played a role in giving us a beautiful and successful holiday. Would go back there in a snap for this kind of trip."

  • Very comfortable

"Really nice property. Nicely maintained. It is an upstairs unit so quieter than the ground floor where people will be walking around in front of your lanai. I liked having tile floors in a marine setting, no sticky carpet feeling. I appreciated all the extra touches - I could have survived with only a toothbrush. The screens in the smaller bathroom have some pitting and no longer fit snugly against the window - mosquitos figured this out pretty quick and we had to eliminate about 100 of the little buggers. Minor! It's the tropics after all. 😆"
