  • Great Place

"We loved our stay at this property and all the great amenities . It was well located for adventures north and south; Captain Cook & the volcano. I appreciated out time in this sweet home away from home. Thank you Meiko!"

  • Beautifully decorated large studio with great views

"We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at this very private, spacious studio. The large lanai was surrounded by a creative colorful Hawaiian garden which accented the reddish brown lava beds and invited birds to visit and provide beautiful songs in the morning and evening. This relaxing atmosphere offered the quietness and tranquility we were seeking. The living space was inviting and appealing showing Sandra's personal touch and attention to detail in the interesting decorations and nicely appointed use of local wood in kitchen and bath. This is definitely a place to consider if you want to stay near the South end of the Island. It offers the unique surroundings of being in the middle of a 1300 year old lava flow with a view of the ocean in the distance. Sandra was a very welcoming and accommodating host who is continuing to develop this space into a beautiful space to share with others."

  • Wonderful Oceanfront Home

"As a couple we were looking for a beautiful peaceful ocean front home away from all the tourist resort life and we found it. The home is large clean well lighted home with 2 levels, we stayed in the top main floor, incredible views of ocean from every room. We just loved setting on the open patio all day!! The patio does have plexa glass in key spots to allow you to observe without getting to wet or wind blown, very nice. There is also a groomed sandy area under the palms with lounges to just set a read or nap, that opens up to the natural lava stairway to the edge of the ocean bluff, you can see the tropical fish, turtles, dolphins and occasional whale. Actually it was very windy during our stay and the surf was crazy and instead of ocean kayaking we just did plan B which was set back and enjoy the view. One day it was overcast which was a great advantage to hike the miles of lava beach next door observing the blow holes and ocean activities. Will differently plan another trip there. My advice would be to come prepared with groceries as the store is at least 30 minutes up the road each way but the periodic self serve neighborhood fruit stands are wonderful. There is a Costco in Kona if you are coming from that direction. ( The location is the southwest part of the Big Island.)"

  • Beyond Excellent Home!!

"My family of five (including myself) took a trip to the Big Island for a total of five days, we figured we needed enough room for us to live comfortably. Upon searching the internet for days to find the right house, we came across this one and boy do we not regret it! When we got to Hawaii and the house we were taken away of how clean and well equipped it was. Not to mention the geckos roaming around the house (hardly any mosquitos since that was their dinner) and the views from the porch were incredible. It was so convenient how there was a pebble beach right down the street; so easy to walk and snorkel. Let's not forget the house also had many things such as boogie boards, a canopy (to take to the beach), beach chairs, sunscreen, beach towels, snorkel equipment, water shoes, ice chest, and so much more to offer! The AC worked incredibly well in all of the rooms and was definitely needed because of the humidity. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I recommend it to anyone. If I have the chance to visit the Big Island again I won't forget to book this place!"
