  • Jan 2016 rental

"This was a great, quiet location. A short walk to the hub of Alii Drive. Loved the setup of the condo and the space was excellent for 4 people. Only 2 complaints. We felt compelled to clean all the dishes we used and had to wipe down the cabinet shelves because of dirt and grime. Also, the TV in the living room worked only when it felt like it. We decided not to touch it because there was an amazing rat's nest of wires and cords behind it. The paperwork left in the drawer did nothing to help because I believe there were actually hardware issues involved."

  • Exceptional!!

"We spent three weeks enjoying this lovely house, that has an exceptional layout and location! We have rented many homes over the years on VRBO, a few of which are on the Big Island, and we have to say this house was one of the very best. You simply can not beat the location; it is a nice short walk to town, but you will be hard pressed to want to leave the house! We had worried initially about being on the main road through town, but found it was very easy to get in and out, with a side street close by that hopped you up and away from town. We spent a lot of time enjoying the oceanfront pool and large pool deck with it's many comfy loungers. The ocean view is spectacular and the sunsets are stunning. We watched pods of dolphins playing out front and passing by daily. As avid scuba divers, we enjoy the underwater world and found the little reef right out front to be an excellent snorkelling location (a little care needs to be taken to enter and exit, but the reef is very nice and there is a abundant variety of fish right there in your 'front yard'). We found the house to be private and peaceful, with soothing ocean waves lulling you to sleep at night. Many nights we enjoyed a BBQ dinner on the deck and found the kitchen to be well stocked with everything you need to make a nice meal. The hot tub was a fantastic way to end the day; it was so nice to be able to relax, watch the ocean waves and star gaze. The house itself is unique, in that it has 3 good sized bedrooms, each having their own ensuite bathroom and there is another full bathroom downstairs---this is such a great feature especially when travelling with friends or family--privacy for all! We would not hesitate to recommend this house at all and we plan to book it again for our next trip to the Big Island."

  • A wonderful, comfortable house right on the ocean!

"This house was perfect for us...had everything we needed! The lanai was a real plus, to be outside and watch the ocean and just hear the waves crashing. The house was well stocked with everything one needed for cooking. Beds were comfortable. Lots of fans...much needed and enjoyed. We will stay here again in the future for sure! Thanks! Joan & Ali"

  • Million Dollar View

"This was our sixth annual stay, this time for six weeks, at this fantastic oceanfront condo. I had previously done extensive research on other lodging options in the Kona area, and this was by far the best value- a clean and nicely appointed condo with a million dollar view at a reasonable cost. This third floor (top) unit has a perfect view of the bay, the ocean and the coastal area of town. The unit is far enough from Alii Drive that road noise is non-existent, and all of the neighbors are quiet and friendly. The grounds and pool area are immaculately maintained. Every morning when we awaken and every night when we retire for the evening, we are lulled by the sound of the waves gently lapping against the rocks below. We always start the day sitting on the lanai drinking our Kona coffee and watching the dolphins swimming and spinning out in the bay...and sometimes even see a whale or two breaching. Some days we make the short walk into town for breakfast at an oceanside restaurant with our feet in the sand. Great snorkeling within a few miles of the condo. Amber is incredibly responsive, accommodating and trustworthy. Needless to say, we have already reserved the condo for another six weeks next year."
