"Papalani farm is "Earth Mother Heaven" as the name states. there are a multitude of tropical trees, plants, and birds, The cottage is well maintained, clean and has everything one would need. I love the indoor safety while sleeping and the outdoor nature for the rest of the time. It is wel stationed between Kailua-Kona and Volcano and very close to the 4 best snorkel spots on the island. i highly recommend it."

  • Wonderful Vacation Condo

"We have stayed in many Rental by Owner locations. This is the best one yet. The location was perfect for us with the snorkeling beach across the street, the shopping center nearby, and good access to the main highway. We especially appreciated that the unit is well maintained and all the appliances, TVs, etc. worked perfectly. We also enjoyed the fact that the building orientation provided all day shade to the lanai. This meant that we could use it from early morning to evening in perfect comfort. Gail called several times to be sure we satisfied with the unit. The building manager came by to introduce herself and make sure that everything was OK. We definitely hope the unit will be available for our next trip to the big island."

  • Great location, views, value, slightly odd layout

"Stayed here for 4 nights. The views from the lanai were very nice. Sunsets were spectacular. Walkable to an amazing snorkeling spot and small surfing waves. Was pretty clean (the fridge was kinda gross on the outside). The biggest beef we had was the bedroom windows open to a shared hallway that was quiet but had lights on all night and the flimsy shades do not block out the light. Also the pillows were lumpy and old. So sleep was an issue for us. In fact we spent one day away from the condo to get some good sleep and see the volcano. But if your family are a strong sleepers, this could be an ideal place."
