  • Excellent stay: Like staying at a luxury resort, but more space and much quieter. Amazing Location!

"My wife and I rented this beautiful apartment for a week in early January. The location is superb, overlooking the fish ponds and out to the ocean. We also had full access to the Mauna Lani resort. At night, we opened the doors (screens closed) and heard only waves and palm leaves blowing in the wind. We never heard anyone else! We snorkeled at the beach, went scuba diving with the scuba center, and hiked up and down the coast without using the car. The supermarket near by (short drive) was very convenient with very reasonable prices. Michael and Mary-Ann were very helpful before our visit and called to make sure everything was going well. Cathy was local and provided us lots info and came in mid way to clean the entire apartment. We will be back - Thanks!"

  • Third time visiting this house!

"This was our third trip to this house and it was as perfect as before. It really is a beautiful place to stay on vacation. I posted a review after the first year and nothing has changed from that. It really is fabulous!"

  • Lovely home, lovely views, lovely hosts - Great location

"Thank you Reed and Noje. We enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. The house was as advertised, roomy, well furnished and with a fully stocked kitchen. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms there is plenty of privacy and space. The lanai was comfortable, cool and provided nice views of the golf course, Hualalai, sunsets and of course stars. Having come in December we were treated with snow on both Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. The house is situated nicely for getting everywhere - beaches, resorts, Waimea, Kona, airport are all short drives. The close by Waikoloa market is a full grocery with a great selection of deli, meats and bakery. Families or couples will find this a comfortable home that is clean and with plenty of extras including beach toys/chairs, wifi, choices in TV entertainment, laundry and quiet neighbors! We had a near daily parade of turkeys. The males really strutted with their feathers fully raised and their chests puffed out. Their quiet calls of gobble in the early evening and morning reminded us of the old Walton's episode - "Good night John boy, Good night Mary Ellen," etc. The pairs of nene on the golf course were also fascinating. We look forward to our much longer stay next summer! We can't ask for better hosts! Mahalo Nui."

  • The best VRBO rental we have had!

"We have stayed at many different VRBO properties around the US, but this was wonderful. The Mauna Lani resort was 20-25 min north of the airport. We stopped at the little market at the entrance to the resort - extensive groceries there. The grounds were beautiful - very well kept. The Fairways section was out of the main area - kept it quiet. The properties make a circle around the pool area which was wonderful! The unit itself was the best stocked place we have ever stayed! The kitchen was great - all the utensils/pans you need. Good quality things as well. The bathrooms were all stocked with soaps/shampoos, etc. The location on the island is wonderful. This unit is a well priced, well maintained, and very well stocked for you! Loved this place."
