  • Great place

"Our two families loved this condo on the sunny side of the big island. It's only 2 miles down to some of the best snorkeling area and close to the coffee tasting areas. The kids enjoyed the pool - not sure why they would rather swim there than in the warm ocean but it seems like that is what kids do. It was great to have beach equipment in the condo like chairs and umbrellas that we could borrow. The well appointed kitchen and BBQ helped us save cash by eating a lot of our meals in. We weathered tropical storm Darby with just a little rain and wind. We were there during a hot spell so needed the fans and open windows to cool it down when we returned each day. SO much to do we didn't even use the TV. Wayne provided a lot of tips on places to eat and things to do that were helpful - a very smooth experience! Thank you for a great stay in a great place!"

  • A good value with a beautiful view

"This unit is a good value with an outstanding view which is exactly as in the photo. It's directly oceanfront with a beautiful sunset. It's comfortably furnished and has everything you would need for a relaxed vacation. It was clean and the kitchen was recently renewed. The pool area is well cared for and has recently been refreshed and was very quiet when we were there. Overall this small group of condos is quiet and located within minutes of the historic town of Kona with it's waterfront restaurants. Target, Wal Mart and Costco, etc. and other good grocery stores are nearby. It's close to the airport, too, which we find convenient. We like to explore and the Big Island has so much to offer with historic sites, Volcano National Park, beautiful coastal drives, coffee plantations, black and white sand beaches, every water sport, and more. We ate lunch and dinner out everyday and found the food to be very good and generally not overpriced unless you choose something more upscale. Of course there's the wonderful Kona coffee and don't miss the Greenwell Farms coffee plantation tour. You'll learn a lot about the production of coffee and find and out why Kona is one of the premiere coffees of the world. The owner, Kathie, is very reasonable to deal with."

  • QUIET OASIS

"We very much enjoyed our stay in this vacation home on the west side of the Big Island! It was nothing fancy, just quaint with a beautiful view of the ocean! It was exactly what we needed after a death in our family forced us to reschedule this vacation. (The owner was very gracious in accommodating our revised plans and did not charge us for the changes.) The property was clean and seemed well-maintained. We especially liked the two separate bedrooms so us parents had a separate room from the kids. And the kids each had their own bed. We were surprised by the catchment water system that they have but were supplied with bottled water for our drinking needs by the owner. Thank you. The hillside community is peaceful and safe. As others mentioned, this house has a steep driveway, so we parked at the end of it and walked down the steps alongside the driveway and then up the steps alongside the house to the front door. The home is far from grocery stores and restaurants but we had planned for that. We absolutely loved the Fruit Stand for most of our grocery needs. The home made a great base for our exploring the island from Kona to the Southern Point to Volcanoes National Park. One note, the pictures made it seem that the kayak for use was a 3 person one, but it is not. It only holds 1 person safely. We did use it a few times. The pebble beach that is at the bottom of the hill in this community is quite nice and a great place to swim, snorkel and kayak. We also made use of the beach chairs and mats and snorkeling gear! One day when we stayed more local, we were thrilled to see a gray seal swim up to a small snorkeling beach in Captain Cook! We would recommend this home to anyone wanting to explore the island, enjoy some peace and quiet and doesn't mind driving for food and supplies."

  • Ohana Magic - A Place To Connect

"Ida, the owner, is a pleasure to work with and aims to make certain your stay exceeds expectations, which it has every time we've visited. Pearl, the housekeeper/property manager, is very responsive to make certain everything is just right in the villa. The location of the villa is outstanding - on the 18th, great ocean views, very close to all the first class amenities Four Seasons has to offer...you don't really need a golf cart, and with Golf Villas you can get room service. Our family has stayed in this villa multiple times and we plan on returning again next year. This is a very special place, a place to unwind, have fun, connect, and explore...thank you for sharing your villa with us."
