  • We already have next year reserved.

"We stayed for the month of January and wish it could have been longer. Everything was just as presented and Ben was responsive to any questions, concerns, and requests. There are beautiful beaches in the area and Ben has the beach tools you'll need to enjoy them to the fullest, including beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards. We spent time at Hapuna Beach and Mauna Kea, we found going early worked best. Mauna Kea resort provides access, but parking is limited. The kitchen is equipped with most of the tools you could need for cooking and the grill on the lanai is great for barbecuing. We stopped in Kona and picked up milk and eggs before we traveled to the condo. There are some cooking supplies left by previous visitors, so it is nice not to duplicate what is already there. There is a Wal Mart, Safeway, and a Target store in Kona for groceries. We actually found great prices and selection at the Safeway and Target stores. Wal Mart was somewhat over shopped. Queen's Market is located across the street and the grocery store has most of what you will need but is more expensive. We played nine holes of twilight golf up at Waikoloa Village for a very reasonable price with cart several times, it is worth checking out. We aren't great golfers, so it was perfect for us. We needed a good internet connection for a few days of work and it was available. Overall, our stay good not have been nicer."

  • Great Place to Stay

"The Puako Condo was fabulous. It was in a great location on a quiet street, but literally three minutes from snorkeling and 5 minutes from a state park beach. It was also close to the main highway so easy access to and from where ever you want to go. The condo had everything you need, from kitchen supplies to towels to beach toys. It was roomy and well laid out. Not beach front but nice view of the ocean. The rental contact, Pattie, was easy to contact and available if I needed anything. I would stay there again...and again."

  • Complete comfort at Kanaloa at Kona!

"We enjoyed an outstanding visit on "B.I." Our condo was perfectly suited for our family of four! Air conditioning was a must during our stay in mid March. Every day was a perfect 85 degrees and sunny! So great to return "home" after spending every day on the go! We enjoyed relaxing in the pools in the evening. The grounds were meticulously groomed. The grill was perfectly clean and convenient to our unit. If you like to relax, this is the place to do it! You really don't have to leave the secure complex as there are many activities to fill your time right on site! This is a family friendly complex that is quiet, yet fun! We will definitely return!"

  • Beautiful view of Keahou Bay and evening susets

"My wife and I enjoyed this condo which overlooked Keahou Bay near Kona which is about 30 minutes away. You can see the Bay in the distance over beautiful flowering shrubs as well as hear the surf (the waves were high when we were there), and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The condo is easy to get to from the airport, although I would suggest turning right at the 6 ½ mile marker rather than after the flashing speed limit sign. The condo is on the main floor, so no stairs to climb, and next to the pool. Most of the residents in the condo seemed to be retired seniors (which I am) and my wife felt welcomed when she spent time at the pool chatting with the other residents. So the condo was quiet and the traffic noise barely discernible. You are about a 10 minute walk from the Sheraton Hotel down the hill and the marina where many excursions, such as to Captain Cook Bay, take place. Around the Sheraton and nearby there were many interesting archaeological ruins. A snorkeling beach is about 15 minutes away. The sandy beaches are about 1 1/2 hours north, the City of Refuge (bring along your national park pass to park free) along with a great snorkeling area about 1 ½ hours south, and the volcano park about 2 hours south, so we felt the condo well located. It does take time to get to places due to the low speed limits and traffic. The condo is well stocked and included beach towels, mats, snorkeling gear and a beach chair (I would suggest having 2 beach chairs). My wife and I enjoy morning walks and there is a nice 2 mile loop that takes you down to the Bay and back. The furnishings are dated but comfortable and for the price we felt the condo was a very good deal. There were ample kitchen supplies but I needed more than the 4 dishwashing gel tabs for my week stay (which is why I always bring my own supply of dish and clothes washing soap, although the latter was in ample supply). There is no AC, fans compensating for this, so night could be a little warm but the bed was comfortable and my wife and I slept well. The owners were very responsive whenever I needed to contact them. I would definitely return and rate it as 4 stars only because I can’t afford a 5 star place."
