  • Beautiful!

"My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. When we first checked in, the management company saw that we were staying in A5 and their response was "You have the most beautiful condo at Kona Reef!"- and they were right. The pictures don't do it justice. You can tell that there was a lot of attention to detail and effort put into making this place special. The location also doesn't hurt. The lanai is feet from the ocean, and the condo just a short walk into the heart of Kona. We were there over the 4th of July and got to watch the fireworks over Kailua Bay right from our lanai with a glass of wine in hand- perfect!. Great sunset views as well. We only had one hiccup while we were there when the A/C unit gave out in the middle of the night. We let the management company know first thing the next morning and they came right out and had it fixed ASAP. We were impressed with their efforts to take care of the problem quickly. We will definitely stay here again when we are able to come back and have already recommended this specific condo to many people! Thank you for having us!"

  • Perfect Spot

"I visited the Big Island for the first time with my two teenage daughters. We stayed here for a few nights and in a high-end resort in Waikola for a few nights. Hands down, they preferred this condo. They loved the condo itself, the community feel, the pool that felt pretty private, the view from the balcony, and the location. The street is a bit busy, but you can't hear it with doors closed or at night. We were close to town and a stellar snorkeling beach. It was great to have a "home" to come back to and the comforts of home so convenient. Also, we were there when a big storm was predicted (never materialized - thank goodness). Kevin was available and responsive when I asked him how I should prepare. Great property- great owner."

  • Very nice, centrally located lovely home with BEAUTIFUL lanai!

"We stayed in the Kona Sunset House for 2 full weeks as a family of 5 (including three grown teenagers). The home was very lovely and clean, and in a nice quiet neighborhood. We liked it's central location in the Kona area that was close to everything on that side of the island, without being too close to the tourist areas. The lanai was hands down the best part of the home. We also liked having the pool - the weather was a little muggy when we were visiting, so was nice to cool off in the pool at the end of an exploration day. There is so much to see and do. But on the west side of the island, Kona Sunset House made easy to get to our highlight attractions: 1. Kayaking to Captain Cook monument and snorkeling in the bay - waters were crystal clear and beautiful fish! 2. Quinns for dinner and 808 Grinds Cafe for breakfast 3. Around the Hwy 19 90/91 mile marker is the turnoff to Black Sands Beach (lovely black sand and a Queens bath) and Makalawena Beach (beautiful water and turtle sightings!) - both great to see! 4. Farmers Markets in town 5. Place of Refuge Very nice and spacious home we would definitely stay in again should our travels find us back on the Big Island. Many thanks again for a wonderful home to help make our vacation memorable! The Isbell Family"

  • Great Condo... Ideal Location

"Highly recommend this Condo. It is spacious, very clean, super comfortable, with heaps of pantry / bathroom extras in a lovely secured property, so close to town a car is not essential. The views out to the ocean are lovely as are the sunsets, and many good nights were spent playing cards around the cute little games table. We have respect for other peoples places and had our own "In house rule" of no food or drinks on carpet flooring and hope others are like minded. Being near the non busy Walua Road has benefits of no traffic noise. Nancy the owner is lovely to deal with and very accommodating. Keep in mind it is on 2nd floor if stairs are an issue. Stayed as a family for Ironman 2015 and this place was a blessing compared to 1 of the 2 Condos we had to book a little further out of town the previous year. Oh love Kona "Mahalo""
