  • Home away from Home

"We spent 6 week in this condo enjoying our morning coffee on the lanai with ocean views and lovely breeze. It was our home away from home. The pictures describe the condo exactly. The Bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen well equipped, able to cook most of our meals at the condo rather than eating out every night. We enjoyed watching the sunset near the viewing area, mixing with the local residents who made us feel so welcomed. Alii Villas swimming pool and BBQ area are well maintained, clean and inviting. Kyle, the Condo Complex Manager, does a great job managing the complex. Thank you Sharon for allowing us to enjoy your condo. We look forward to coming back again."

  • Excellent in every way

"Our family of six (two children, two parents, + two grandparents) stayed here for 10 days for a second time and loved every minute of it (again). The two bedrooms downstairs were occupied by the adults and the children were able to sleep in the beds upstairs. It was the perfect amount of space for us. It truly felt like home away from home. The lanai offers amazing views of both the ocean activity and sunsets galore. You have three pools to choose from (we always chose the middle pool as it is closest to the unit). Although we don't normally like TV while on vacation, the flat screen and DVD player came in clutch when the kids needed a break from the sun/beach. The kids used the provided boogie boards and the parents used the snorkeling gear/beach chairs/umbrella from the storage closet. You have access to several clean beach towels, and they even have sand toys for the kids. The proximity to downtown Kona and a grocery store is perfect. It's close enough to jet downtown, yet far enough to enjoy some quiet time. Don't worry about shopping as the grocery store is a short walk from the unit. I noticed a few people talk about air conditioning here.... the weather was 90+ degrees every day we were here and as long as you leave the windows open all day, it was comfortable. In fact, a few of us had to turn the fans off at night as it got a little chilly. A/C=no need! WiFi-The only thing I can offer the next potential vacationer staying here is to be sure and reset the router if the username doesn't show up. You do this by unplugging the router for a few minutes, plug back in, and walla... type in the pw and it works perfectly! This place seriously has everything you need....pack a few shirts, shorts, and flip-flops and you're set!"

  • Almost Perfect

"We enjoyed to stay in the apartment #195 for one week. Everything was like advertised. Especially the direct ocean front location was very nice and we've enjoyed to have breakfast and dinner on the lanai. The kitchen is well equipped and using the public BBQ was great. The two reasons for the 4-star rating are the following: (1) As mentioned by others, the mattress is worn out and needed an improvement. (2) even so, everything is very clean, there are the tinny insects in the kitchen and in the bath downstairs. which was a bit disturbing."

  • Million Dollar View

"We found this house to be an excellent place to stay. The view was stunning as you walked in the front door and looked out to the lanai to the ocean. Could not find one thing to complain about except that we didn't stay there longer! They had everything we needed from water shoes, beach towels and snorkeling equipment to a cooler we could take to the beach. Kitchen had everything too! Location was great for us. Not far from the airport and centrally located to travel to all sides of the island. Enjoyed laying out on the lanai at 4:30 in the morning and star gazing. The sound of the waves, the hot tub, and snorkeling right in front of the house added to our fantastic stay. Just can't say enough about it except you will not be disappointed at all. Would recommend Kona Brewery and Splashers for good places to eat and drink. Would love to meet the owners!"
