  • well-appointed, close to town

"This condo was exactly as expected from the listing, and more. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it was great to have a laundry in the unit. Several restaurants, bars, and shops within easy walking distance."

"This condo was very clean and spacious. We ate out on the lanai which over looks the golf course for almost every meal. The lanai has ceiling fans and shades to wind down in the afternoon which keeps the condo from becoming too hot. We used the barbecue on several occasions. The condo is stocked with every cooking appliance and utensil you could possibly need as well as cleaning/ laundry supplies and beach/outing extras(too many to describe) etc. I loved the fact that this complex is basically the last complex on Alii Dr. You are close enough to Kona and to Keauhou shopping centre but still seemed very quiet. There was Wifi, TV, books etc available as well as a hand book with tips about sights around the island. I loved having access to the lanai off the Master bedroom as well as the living room, we slept with the patio doors open for the breeze to blow through. Pat and Jim were quick to respond to our emails and easy to deal with. We really enjoyed our stay on the Big Island and would recommend this condo."

  • A wonderful place to stay

"My wife and I came here for the second week of our honeymoon. In mid September 2015, Hawaii was hot and very humid. There were at least 3 hurricanes which were spiraling in the larger ocean and generally screwing up the water visibility and the humidity. Kona was supposedly the dry side of the island, but it was humid enough that we got some thunder storms there several evenings. My wife doesn't do so well in heat and humidity as a general rule. So, why am I mentioning this? Because the air condition in this unit was OUTSTANDING! Located in the living space, it kept the whole unit cool and comfortable when we were there. Given that it wasn't central air but a window unit, The Little AC That Could behaved like a big boy central air unit! The unit was clean and well maintained. There were some boogie boards in the closet. By the time we got to Kona, we were desperate for laundry facilities. The condo had a stacked washer and dryer which was magical! I've never been so excited to see a laundry machine before! There is a futon and a matching chair in the living room. The futon folds down for others to sleep. The condo is located just shy of ground floor. It's about 4 or 5 steps down to it's level. There is an elevator; however, it stops in between levels and won't be much help to someone in a wheelchair or who just can't handle stairs. The unit is about 1/4 to 1/2 a mile from 'downtown' Kona. There are a TON of shops and a big local good market place bazaar. We liked Jack's Dive Locker for our SCUBA adventures. The restaurants in the area are amazing and we would heartily recommend Kona Brewing Company for wonderful pizza. (Get the pesto sauce!) Thank you for letting us make use of your amazing condo! We had a wonderful time!"

  • Great Condo with a GREAT VIEW!

"My wife, and I stayed at the condo for a week in June 2016 and let me tell you, the pictures of the condo do not do it justice. It is a well remodeled, clean, nice condo with an amazing view! The condo was stocked with snorkel gear, beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards which was really nice! The condo is only a few minute drive from downtown Kailua which has all the Hawaiian stores and restaurants you could want to visit. Driving the other direction you can be at several nice swimming areas (beaches, but they can be rocky... but that's the nature of the big island) in a matter of minutes. If you're lucky, the Magic Sands beach will have sand during your stay, it did during ours. We would highly recommend staying in this condo, and will probably do so again next family vacation! The only thing I would mention is that if you have a little baby the vertical supports for the railing on the balcony are wide enough for a baby's head and sideways body to go through. No big deal, we just made sure the screen door stayed closed so our 11 month old did not go out there alone."
