  • Wonderful time in the sun with the ocean waves lulling us to sleep at night.

"We had a wonderful restful time for a month at Kona Isle. The condo was well equipped and very comfortable. The condo has an ocean view, you are right there, and the sound of the waves lulled us to sleep at night. The pool is great and the lounge chairs on the sand by the water was very restful and great for reading a book in the late afternoon. Picnic tables and 3 great barbecues were also down by the ocean for your use. The grounds were well taken care of and the birds were around to greet us in the morning. We had a great time and would love to return and rent the same unit again."

  • Amazing condo in an excellent location

"This was our second trip to the Big Island. We love the Waikoloa Beach area because of its warm dry climate. It's centrally located so you can get to all of the attractions the island has to offer. Gunnar's condo is beautiful. We rented three condos for this trip and Gunnar's was by far the nicest. The BBQ on the Lanai came in handy because we could watch the kids in the pool while we cooked and enjoyed the weather. The beds were comfortable, the TV's had all the channels we needed, and the kitchen was stocked with the stuff we needed to prepare our meals. The garage had boogie boards, beach chairs, and an umbrella. I can't say enough about this place. We will definitely be going back. The owner was great about answering questions and I had all of the check in information by the time we were on our way. I highly recommend this condo."

  • Private oceanfront getaway

"My husband and I live on Maui and we stay at the Mauna Lani Point every year. This was our first time in this unit and we found it to be very comfortable. The views are spectacular from the outdoor patio. We cooked our breakfasts only and had all the cookware we needed. It's a perfect place to have a getaway. The listing description was accurate and the unit was well maintained. The bathroom could use an upgrade but I'd rather pay less for the unit. There are many restaurants nearby and if you want more selections the drive to Waikaloa Village is less than 10 minutes away. If you enjoy golfing, it is nice to be on the property with 2 great golf courses. The owners were very prompt in replying to my questions. We will defintely be returning. Highly recommended."

  • Fabulous house and location... our girls loved it!

"The location of this house - in laid back Puako - is perfect. Right next to a marine preserve, we spent many hours looking through the tide pools for turtles, fish, sea urchins, hermit crabs, and watching whales go by in the distance. And the feel of the house - an old style Hawaiian house - is a nice change from the typical island condo. The house had everything you could need, including beach towels, chairs, sand toys, masks, snorkels, etc. It is also conveniently close to lots of places to eat if you don't feel like cooking in the well stocked kitchen. The staff at 2Papayas were wonderful and left lots of information on the local area - the farmer's market in Waimea was one of our favorites. And if you couldn't find something in the general store down the road, you probably don't need it. We would love to come back!"
