  • Lovely studio condo overlooking the ocean, walk to beach next door

"We had a lovely time at this condo. It was clean with comfortable bed and furniture. The soft sheets and towels felt good, a touch of luxury. The kitchen was well stocked. The lanai is enclosed with large glass doors to slide open, making the living area larger. This is a studio so there is not a separate bedroom, but that was fine for us, there was plenty of room and furniture to relax on.. It was pretty warm for sleeping with no air conditioning but there were ceiling fans that helped move the air and thank goodness a standup fan that we pointed at the bed at night. We could look out over the water and see the fish in the waves. It is nice to have an ocean-front view like this, no parking lots or highways to look at, just the ocean. We liked the sound of the surf, it was a reminder that we were at the ocean even after dark. Magic Sands beach is right next door and though the amount of sand varies there, it was a lovely sandy beach on this trip. So nice to just walk over there and enjoy the sand and water, no need to get in the car to enjoy a beach.. There is also a lifeguard at this beach, which is reassuring. We did drive to restaurants, but only takes a few minutes, whether you go north or south."

  • Excellent

"Rick's house on Kealakekua Bay is spacious and beautiful. It is well designed, immaculate and it has everything you need for a great vacation. The old school Hawaiian style beach is a short walk down the road for swimming and relaxing . The house has great views of the bay, sunsets, the surf and even the Captain Cook monument across the bay. The area is full of Hawaiian history and archaeological monuments. It is well located right next to the bay with a great market at the top of the hill and a couple quaint villages near by for dining. I would definitely go back here. Thanks Rick! It was an easy relaxing week!"

  • Wonderful!!! Wonderful!!!

"Wonderful stay at the Kona Reef. Easy access in just minutes to shops and restaurants in Kona. Beautiful ocean view from the lanai. View of sunsets blocked by other buildings from the lanai, but good view if one goes down to the pool area, which is gorgeous. The room itself is very private and quiet. Air conditioning system is a plus. We did feel like this unit was our home away from home for our 18-day stay in Kona. Highly recommend this unit for couples and small families. You will love it!!!"
