  • Picture Perfect Paradise Setting for a 35th Anniversary Celebration with Our Family!

"We are a family of seven celebrating our 35th anniversary with a 2 week Hawaiian vacation. Our first week was on the west side of Oahu where we enjoyed beautiful sunsets on the beach, visited Pearl Harbor, etc. However, our time on Oahu was no match for our week at this location, where we enjoyed spectacular sunrises and breathtaking views from an absolutely amazing home located at a very special part of Hawaii. This property, with the lagoons, and the water-calming effect of the seawall, provided an excellent place for kayaking, snorkeling, and exploring the tropics without ever leaving the property. We also enjoyed the basketball court, the space under the main house, along with all the other amenities provided. The house was very roomy, comfortable, and absolutely gorgeous with attention to detail from the beautiful woodwork to the accent lighting throughout. To our surprise, there was an additional room that didn’t show up in the photos on the website. Part of the gazebo had recently been converted to a bedroom, fully equipped with its own bathroom and shower, and with the bed conveniently positioned to maximize the exceptional views of the ocean. My son enjoyed this addition very much. This place is very well equipped with everything we needed, including a pack’n play for my 18 month old granddaughter. However; my only criticism is that we could have used some chaise lounge chairs for lounging out in the sun. Grant (manager) was very helpful, providing us with ideas of things to do, and everything we needed for the week. This area of Hawaii is obviously not as busy as Honolulu Oahu, but activities are plentiful, including the tide pools, Uncle Roberts, farmers markets, Lava Tree State Park, the Red Road, Volcanoes National Park, along with many other activities up around Hilo. We could have easily spent 2 weeks here. This was a family vacation we’ll never forget. I highly recommend this place, and would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity. I understand the property is up for sale, so book your trip soon! Thanks Grant for all your help and hospitality."
