  • A wonderful oasis

"Indeed our spirit was renewed after a long flight and wintery weather in Canada. The home was nice and secluded and only a few blocks away from our daily snorkel routine. The environment of this secluded community is lush, full of greenery, beautiful trees and peaceful. It was only when we explored the west side of the island later on that we realised how spoiled we were with the abundance of vegetation. The outdoor shower was another highlight and so were the beautiful flowers all through the home. Thank you David for making our stay so enjoyable in your well appointed home."

  • Peaceful setting with dramatic views

"We LOVED our stay at Kapoho! We have visited the Kapoho area three previous times but this house has, by far, the best views. The home is comfortable and supplied with everything we needed. We enjoyed snorkeling just a few steps from the house. We had dinner at Kaleo's Bar and Grill in Pahoa (always a favorite of ours) and went to the Kalapana farmers market on Wednesday night. The farmers market is an experience not to miss. We are looking forward to our return visit."

  • Hula Cove was fantastic!

"I highly recommend adding this destination to your Big Island vacation. The place was everything we expected and more. The owners suggestions of things to do in the area were also very helpful."

  • back again for more Aloha and relaxation

"We stayed at the Cedar House 5 years ago to celebrate our 25th anniversary, and it was a no-brainer where we wanted to return for our 30th. The house was the perfect blend of relaxation and "things to do". We walked twice daily around the neighborhood and often down to the lagoon or tide pools. Close enough to Pahoa to get Pahoa Fresh Fish for lunch, a little further to Volcano National Park and the sweet little town of Hilo and beyond. The beginning of July meant the yard's mangos were ripe and falling daily, and since no one else was picking them up, nor the passion fruit down the street, we had lots of smoothie additions. Every chair, hammock, sofa and porch chair was super comfortable, the master-room bed was perfect (not too hard, not too soft!), and the large walk-in shower was very nice. We appreciated the pool noodles and snorkel equipment for borrowing. Thank you so much for all the nice touches....again!"
