  • Great Place, Very Spacious

"We just checked out a couple of days ago and I have to say this place was great. It was very spacious, great area, and beautiful view. The downstairs was a bit warm but was very well equipped with enough fans to make it cool. The kitchen was very large and the patio balcony was BEAUTIFUL, you could sit out there on the table and just stare out in to the "trees" lol but still beautiful. Some of us ended up sleeping out there because it was so serene and had a great breeze that blew threw. Privacy was great as you have about a half acre before the next house behind. A lot of parking space. GREAT for families with children. My kids had a blast. I loved that there is a laundry room on site. I would definitely come back again with my family and stay here."

  • We loved this place! Highly recommended! Looking forward to coming back!

"My wife and I rented this cottage at Ohia Grove for two weeks in July. We selected the cottage after reading its reviews as well as those of similar places in the Puna area. In short, the excellent reviews of this place were right on. The cottage is in a secluded area but still very close to the main highway allowing easy access to the surrounding areas of Hilo, Pahoa, and Volcano. We were actually pleasantly surprised by the fact that the inside of the cottage is actually nicer than the photos indicate. The cottage has a cozy, yet open feel to it with vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans in every room. The structure of the cottage is in great shape, and the bed, futon, and furniture were also in good shape and comfortable. There's also plenty of windows and a large, screened covered porch, which we used quite often. The cottage has all the comforts of home, washer/dryer, satellite TV, microwave and other appliances, water cooler, and a set of table/chairs in both the kitchen and porch. There are plenty of bath and beach towels. When we arrived, the place was spotless, and there were fresh flowers in several rooms as well as a basket of fruit and package of coffee. So upon arrival, this place immediately felt like a home....a relaxing place to return to after a day of sightseeing. Perhaps the best reason to stay here is the attentiveness of the owners. They live nearby and came over immediately whenever we needed something. In addition to the binder listing restaurants, markets, and things to do in the area, the owners are readily available with helpful advice. For our trip to the Kohala coast, they provided us with information on B&Bs, restaurants, and beaches as well as beach chairs and umbrella. In the cottage we found two guest books containing only positive testimonies for the past seven years showing the owners having a long track record of providing a first rate experience for their guests. It is clear that they really care about their guests! We loved our stay in all respects, and it is our pleasure to highly recommend this cottage to others!"

  • A great small unit in the garden estate.

"A great small unit in the garden estate. The location is quiet but no so far from Hilo and Volcano. Laura the owner was most obliging and helpful and we had some interesting conversations. While small the unit has all the required facilities for a self-sufficient stay."

  • Amazing home

"We arrived to find an amazing home. The property is beautiful. More beautiful in person. The home is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Very, very clean and very well cared for. The wonderful lady that was taking care of the plants at the lot across the street gave us fresh pineapple. The pool is a plus to have at the property. We enjoyed the bikes and walks to the cliffs over looking the ocean. We would recommend this home as a top pick for everyone. We loved how the rooms are very private and plenty of space for 2 families. We look forward to staying at this paradise home again."
