  • We loved it!

"Our small family stayed at the honey house in early June 2016, and we absolutely loved it. The house is very clean, comfortable and peaceful. The garden is out of this world and the frog chorus at night and birds in the morning are very special. Dave is a wonderful host, kind, welcoming and quiet. He made us feel at home and we loved the red papayas for breakfast. The black sand beach and the tide pools are absolutely beautiful and worth visiting. I highly recommend this place to anyone and hope to back one day myself."

  • private getaway!!

"This house and it's location was perfect for relaxing and escaping it all with the sound of the ocean crashing throughout every room and breathtaking sunrises from the front patio. It was also a convenient drive from many great activities (snorkeling, swimming, black sand beach, good eats, Volcanoes). The pictures really don't do this home justice. The house was VERY well equipped, kitchen was great for cooking and the outdoor gas grill was a nice bonus! The home was spacious and inviting, plenty of room and comfort for six adults. Also, don't let the water catchment system deter you! There was plenty of drinking water provided and the fill-up station was close by if needed. I recommend to all!"

  • Lovely Cottage

"in a beautiful area. It truly is away from it all -- bring breakfast with you if you come in the evening, or it's a trip to Pahoa. It's very near the lava flow viewing area, and the perfect place to drink coffee, look at the water and the tiny neighborhood around you, and pretend you're retired to the Big Island. :) Be aware that the cottage number is obscured by hibiscus if you are driving along the street. A kind neighbor helped us find it in the dark and rain. The bed is made of magic."

  • A relaxing place, definitely away from the crowds.

"Loved the sound of the rain on the tin roof. House was well stocked, very clean and comfortable. Negatives include owners request to keep the gate to the property locked at all times and more humid than I expected. If you are looking a comfortable ' get away from it all' place', would highly recommend."
