  • Third Stay at Mauna Loa Shores

"We love the location, the amenities and security of this property. We were in Unit 407 which has the closest parking spot and entrance to the elevator. It has a beautiful view of the jungle canopy and of the tide pools. There is plenty of closet space and storage for your belongings. Washer and dryer just outside the door. This is a short drive from the airport, so check in before heading out to shop and see what staples you might need. We have no issues with using spices and accouterments others have left. An assortment of water toys is usually available in the unit. The complex is almost located right in the park where you have easy snorkeling, swimming and turtle viewing. We will always try to stay in this complex and rent from this owner."

  • A Paradise!

"The house is perfect! It has all of the kitchen appliances necessary and almost every kitchen utensil one can think of. There are plenty of sheets and towels. The beds are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are immaculate. The house is well lit inside and out. The water pressure is strong. The ambiance of the interior was definitely well thought out. It's simple but perfect and peaceful. This little gem of a home is surrounded in a paradise of beautiful trees, lush shrubs, and exotic flowers which provide plenty of privacy. I would definitely stay here again next time I come to the Big Island."

  • Great place to stay very close to Volcano National Park

"We absolutely loved staying at this cottage & wished we could have stayed longer! They furnished everything you could think of, great for those of us who forget important things like bug spray or a flashlight! It was quiet & relaxing. Cheryl gave us easy to follow directions & was very friendly. Be sure to bring a rain jacket as it was quite rainy. Also, stop in Kona or Hilo to get groceries as the ones at the gas stations are slim picking and pricey. So glad I found this website & this cottage!"

  • Loved it!

"What a fantastic location and house. We found everything we needed in the house. I had to be pried out of the hammock swing over the tree tops! The location is very near the lava fields which are incredible. Don't miss the Wednesday night community farm market on the lava (with live music and great food!) and visit the House of Fire glass and pottery studio both right down the road from the house."
