Great House to explore the Volcano National Park and the Big Island!

                        5 of 5
We stayed at this property in May and just loved it! The house was beautiful, clean, roomy, comfortable, and well furnished. From the kitchen, to the laundry room, and the bathrooms with a plentiful stash of bath/beach towels...you will find everything you need. We stayed with our two adult children and there was more than enough space for everyone to spread out. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch with coffee listening to the birds in the morning. The house is just minutes (maybe 5) from the Volcano National Park entrance. Volcano Village is also just up the road with the Volcano Store....it is the original store in Volcano and good for the morning paper, snacks, beer or little things you forgot to get in town. Attached to the Volcano Store is also the Eagle cafe...a casual take out spot. Great Local breakfasts and the pastries/cakes are amazing!! For a fancier sit down breakfast, lunch or dinner there is also the Kilauea Lodge.... the food was very good! This house was perfect for exploring the National Park and the surrounding areas. A definite spot of luxury in the rain forest! We would stay here again!

                        Lovely cottage in the jungle!

                        5 of 5
Beautiful quaint cottage in a lush rainforest setting. We were only there 2 nights but easily could stay for a week. The close proximity (10 min drive) to Volcano National Park was a huge bonus. We were able to drive in to see the crater late at night and at sunrise - seeing the park in different lights is beautiful and most people don't get to do it due to cross-Island travel. Volcano is a sleepy town, but we were early to rise due to all the hiking and biking we did in the park, so that didn't bother me. Farmers market in Volcano was a highlight. Very local and friendly. Also, Bill was very responsive and helpful with giving us tips and info during our stay.
