  • Marvelous home!

"We loved this house, and felt right at home. Comfortable beds, lovely kitchen, and we all adored the hot tub. It was very convenient to Volcano National Park, but quiet and private. Everything was clean and tidy, and the basket of food was a generous touch. Thank you for your hospitality!"

  • Gorgeous Home in Excellent Location

"This little apartment on top of Dave and Bonnie's home is gorgeous, relaxing, quiet, and in a great location! I was referred to this rental by a family member that stayed here a couple years ago. This rental property was perfect for our three night stay on the Eastern side of the Island. It is 20 minutes from the Volcano National Park and 30 minutes from Hilo. The property was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. The kitchen was also stocked with condiments, spices, pots, pans, water, etc. The fresh fruit was amazing and gorgeous fresh flowers decorated the apartment. We especially enjoyed eating dinner on the lanai and just relaxing in the rainforest/jungle atmosphere. The directions Dave gave us were perfect and our GPS worked as well to find the location. Thank you so much Dave and Bonnie! We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to the Island!"

  • Quiet and relaxed with beautiful view of both lava and ocean

"We found the perfect spot to spend a week on the Big Island of Hawaii. We walked to the ocean over the lava and in general learned what it is like to live with a volcano. We traveled to local beaches, parks, and the friendly community of Pahoa. We also took short trips to the Volcano NP, Mauna Kea with all it's clear skies and religious history, and the shore north of Hilo with botanical gardens and waterfalls. We cooked ourselves in the complete kitchen, with condiments and other dry goods, or enjoyed the restaurants of Pahoa. Great sleeping with the comfortable bed and the ocean breezes. Rachaelle is a gracious host and handled any issues, mostly before we noticed them. There is still some updating to be done , but it did not affect our 50th anniversary celebration."
