  • Perfect location and lovely home away from home!

"Linda was so accommodating to me and very flexible. I had everything I needed and the property was filled with fruit trees for the picking. I have family on the island and I feel so fortunate to know I have a place to return to to call home. I highly recommend Ku'ylei Hale!"

  • Fantastic!

"We stayed in Treehouse #2 and found it to be everything we imagined it could be. We arrived with four kids and the intention of heading down to see the lava flowing spectacularly into the sea. The kids pretty quickly agreed that they would rather hang out with mom and dad in their treehouse. But we still had time to make the quick trip of a few miles into the national park to see the bright red glow of the active crater from the museum. Skye gave us all the information we needed, including the location of the nearest grocery store (not close, so shop in advance). He is justifiably proud of his creation, which is made entirely of repurposed construction materials and uses the dimensions and setting given by nature to create a unique lodging experience. We came to Volcano after three nights with the crowds in Kona, which was fine and not unexpected at a busy time of year. The treehouse is the opposite: complete tranquility, quiet except for the birds. There is no question we would stay there again and recommend Skye's treehouse to our friends."

  • Magical Shangri'la!

"This place lives up to it's name. Everyone from the grandkids to us old folk loved the lagoon and its fish. The Round Room was perfect for celebrating our anniversary. And it's an excellent base for all east side activities including lava watching."

  • Lovely Cottage

"in a beautiful area. It truly is away from it all -- bring breakfast with you if you come in the evening, or it's a trip to Pahoa. It's very near the lava flow viewing area, and the perfect place to drink coffee, look at the water and the tiny neighborhood around you, and pretend you're retired to the Big Island. :) Be aware that the cottage number is obscured by hibiscus if you are driving along the street. A kind neighbor helped us find it in the dark and rain. The bed is made of magic."
