  • Great House

"This house was perfect for our five-day stay near Hilo. Centrally located for Hilo, Volcano National Park, and Pahoa. Twenty-minute drive to good grocery store. Kitchen stocked with everything you'd need. New appliances; clean; easy to use everything. Thanks!"

  • Fabulous!

"I stayed here with my BFF for a week - a fabulous week! I didn't get my review written due to the craziness of life upon my return. Now, in the heart of winter and ice storms, I am longing for those warm Hawaiian days at the cottage, sitting with my friend, listening to the waves crash and the frogs singing their evening songs. The location was perfect - secluded and private but within reasonable driving distance of so many wonderful adventures! The National Park, Zip lining (Umauma was amazing!), lava watching, snorkeling and some great people watching in Old Pahoa (as well as some great food! Luquins' was delish!) From the front porch and just across the street, we watched the dolphins and sea turtles frolicking in the waves and "watched" the sunsets on the other side of the island reflect in oranges and lavender off the clouds over the ocean on our side. There were countless stars in the night sky, balmy breezes and fresh rainstorms on a few of the evenings. The road in front of the cottage was a great place to walk - the plants were incredible! The cottage was lovely - safe, clean and very comfortable. We really enjoyed being off the grid too! This place was everything we hoped it would be and much more - We were not disappointed. Can't wait to return!! Thank you for sharing your fabulous cottage!"

  • Beautiful location with Great character

"We had a great time at the orchid house. It was actually easy to find since many in our group were familiar with area! We were in town for a weekend event with just a few of us staying on for the remainder of the week. Lisa and Kerry were quite helpful, and put up with my busy travel schedule that meant I contacted them later than planned! We booked the main house and the sleeping loft so everyone could spread out. The house is simply beautiful. It appeared that some renovations were taking place on property with supplies stored in the area under loft, but that didn't detract from our stay. From breakfast on the lanai to "family" dinners, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The house is located close enough to the airport and town that it's convenient without losing its Paradise of privacy! The avocados and Lilikoi growing on property were an excellent treat!"

  • Relaxing, out of the way, well appointed home with clear view to whales and turtles!

"This house was exactly what we were looking for. Completely out of the way of tourist traps, complete kitchen with all the amenities and dramatic ocean sounds. The hosts were so considerate. The instructions on the house were very clear and the house was spotless on our arrival. They had everything we needed from towels and bug spray to dishes, pots and pans to do our own cooking. Lots of space and gorgeous shaded deck to eat outside each night, rain or shine. On sunny days, super close to Pahoa Farmer's Market, Pahoa, and Volcanoes National Park. If it rained we were in the hot tub spotting whales on the horizon. We are already trying to plan our next trip back!"
