  • Charming, private, secluded.

"Absolute beachfront - you can't get closer than this! Beautiful, relaxing setting, waking in the morning with the sunrises and going to sleep with the waves lapping (or crashing!) below. Absolutely idyllic. It is not the swankiest 5-star hotel, but that's not what this is about. It is comfortable and clean with everything you need for a restful stay. Plus if you're worried about 5-star and buffet, you're coming to the wrong place. This is all about seclusion and quietness and having the beach virtually to yourself. And the little touches are truly appreciated - the personal welcome note, cookies, and freshly picked bananas. Thanks so much for a truly wonderful stay."

  • Still great

"Second time staying in this unit. I am still in love with the views here and this time actually saw a monk seal on sealodge beach (at first it looked dead, but it wasn't). Continued to be rocked to sleep by the waves right outside. Weather also was very cooperative with rain mostly only happening at night. This unit has been upgraded quite a bit since my first visit. It looks like the bathroom was recently upgraded - the biggest piece of this seems to be the removal of the shower doors and tub which were replaced by a walk-in tiled shower. The vanity countertop is now granite. Still highly recommend this unit and trying to figure out when I can come back for another visit!"

  • Beautiful condo! Great location. Quiet, peaceful, serene and clean !

"We were impressed at the condo for the price . The condo was clean and pretty much equipped with everything you need. few things I can remember : pack n play, high chair ( for little ones) , blow dryer, beach mats, snorkel, beach chairs, beach umbrella, starter kit (shampoo, conditioner, soaps, dishwashing liquid, detergent), lotsa towels, blender, cooler, tv , cable, free wifi, water shoes, guidebooks, and I can't remember much now. The place is spacious, big or enough for a family of 4. There is a nice hike down to turtle cove across the condo. Can be muddy but beautiful. No AC but there are ceiling fans and standing fans. Can get hot but just open up the windows and let the trade winds in. Will definitely stay here again!"

  • Can I live here, now?

"Now that we’re back to the dailies again, I am homesick for the deck—the palm trees, the waves, the flocks of frigate birds far overhead. With the time difference we were all awake well ahead of sunrise every morning. It became our ritual, all of us gathering on the deck to watch the sun come up. What a superb way to start the day. It’s become so typical, to be just a little disappointed with the reality—things get oversold or overtalked or whatever—the actual thing, whatever it is, is rarely as great as described. Not so this time, the house is just exactly what we hoped for. The beach is fairly isolated and quiet; we had it to ourselves most days. A happy arrangement of big rocks just below the house intercepts the waves, and creates a perfect and protected wading pool for the little ones. The beds are very comfortable. We asked for extras, too—extra pillows for one bad back, a portable crib for a baby—and they were ready and waiting for us on arrival. The property is lovely, a real gift—and the only downside? The bar is now set very, very high for future vacation properties. If you go, here’s the lesson I learned too late: for groceries, the Kapaa Foodland is far superior to the Safeway. Great selection of poke! :)"
