  • Feels like home

"This house is great! My family has stayed here a few times and each time it has been been awesome. Traveling with kids, especially little kids, is stressful enough but staying here takes away that stress because the owners have thought of it all. Toys, pack n play, books, movies and the list goes on. They've got snorkel gear and boogie boards along with chairs, mats, coolers and umbrellas. I suggest going straight to the house from the airport to see what provisions you've already got before hitting the store. This is a family home great for big groups and good friends. The views from the deck are outstanding. The outdoor shower is a huge plus! The burger place down the street is the best on the island plus fresh made sushi is in the grocery store right next door. Win, win. :-)"

  • Perfect for our honeymoon

"The property was a wonderful alternative to a hotel. We loved the fact that we felt like we had our own little 1 bed, 1 bath oasis with our own little kitchenette and eating area. Perfect for us and in a great spot on the island. It was easy for us to get to all points north and south during our vacation. We would definitely do this again and the only thing we would have changed was to extend our 6 night stay to at least 8 nights. If you want relaxed, intimate, no fuss, laid back style (which fits the island by the way) this cottage is for you."

  • Location is the reason for 5 stars

"The decision to stay in this home was a good one. The location is incredible. The views from the windows and deck are what you imagine when you think about staying in Hawaii. Even though there are other homes along this beach we rarely ever saw anyone else. At most we would see one or two people on the beach at any given time. The location on the island is great. It is just about 10 minutes past Kapaa. It is about 20 minutes from Princeville. Hanalei is another 15 or so past that. Getting to Poipu is about a 45 min ride but well worth it. The home is very well equipped. I think I counted 4 beach chairs, 6 to 7 beach towels, 2 kayaks, 6 or so pairs of water shoes (very much needed), at least 8 or 9 masks and snorkels, 3 to 4 pairs of fins, noodles, floats, beach toys for kids, fishing pole, sunsreen and much more. There is a shower as you come up from the beach. The beach is a little rocky as stated in other reviews but there is plenty of sand for your lounging pleasure. There is a little area to the left as you come down the path that looks like a little Queen's Bath. The house is very livable. It certainly has a little age and wear and tear on it but that in no way affected our stay. Nice big frig but no ice maker just ice trays. The kitchen is well equipped. It has Keurig, blender, toaster, micro, etc. Plenty of plates, bowls (large and small), and utensils. The is a master bedroom on each end of the house. Both have queen beds. There is a bedroom with twins that has a private bath as well. The window between the mirrors over the vanity is a nice touch. The fairly new washer/dryer got plenty of use. When we first looked at this home online it looked like one of those that had the sliding doors that opened up all the way across the living area. It is not. There is a set of sliding doors off the kitchen and master bedrooms. The rest of the glass on the living area is fixed. Each room had its own AC unit. They were a little noisy but did the job. The temperature when we were there was around 85 degrees during the day. TV in the living room had a little picture issue but we didn't watch that much TV. There is patio table with 4 chairs, 2 lounge chairs, and a gas grill on the deck. Be sure and check out Princeville Ranch Adventures for Zip Lining. Awesome time. Monicos Taqueria in Kapaa was great. Got groceries at Foodland on the way in. Be sure and get some Poke. Go see Spouting Horn. General Store 5 minutes from house to the left. Enjoy the beauty!!!!"

  • Luxurious home, secluded location, attentive host

"This is a wonderful home on the beach. Perfect for family-sized groups, it's secluded yet accessible. All of the amenities are provided and you quickly feel like you're at home. Access to the beach is easy and the water is perfect for snorkeling (gear provided for you!). We had a lovely time and will likely return next year!"
