  • Another great visit!

"We have just returned home from another great visit to this lovely condo. As mentioned by other guests, Pono Kai is in a very good location with downtown Kapa'a on one side and the oceanfront on the other. Shopping and restaurants are very close by and parking is plentiful. There are lots of activities available right at the resort including the pool, tennis courts, croquet, horseshoes, etc. The beach is right across from the condo as is the walking/biking path that goes for miles along the water. The condo itself is very well maintained with a VERY comfortable bed, lots of linens and towels, lots of beach equipment, coolers and chairs, and very well kitted out kitchen for those nights you decide to eat in (the BBQ's are conveniently located around the property and pristine). The unit is top floor, end unit in the end building so great views from the lanai. All in all, we highly recommend D308 and are already planning our 4th trip. Mahalo, Gary and Barbara!"

  • Nature lover's paradise

"The view from the lanai is to die for! When we were on the property, we sat on the lanai and enjoyed the sounds of natures. It does rain, but it comes and goes quickly. There is a path to Nounou Trail East just a block from the house. The neighborhood is very quiet and well cared for. The apartment itself is clean and has the essentials. You definitely want a place with washer and dryer so you can clean up after slipping and sliding in the muddy hikes. We stayed 7 nights and jam packed every day with fun outdoor activities. We could only go so far toward Na Pali Coast because the rain floods the streets, but did visit Poipu Beach, Port Allen (scuba dive w/garden isle scuba), Wamea Canyon, a couple of falls, the Smith Family river boat cruise and luau, Lydgate Park (renewed our wedding vows on the beach at sunrise), Nounou hike and beaches toward the Na Pali coast (none of which I remember the names). You can pick up gorgoeus leis from the Foodland toward Kapaa. My husband and son enjoyed the burgers at Streetburger. Big Dave's is a good dive bar. Pancakes and coconut syrup at Olympic Cafe were soooooo good and shared by all three of us! Aside from that we mostly cooked at the apartment. WORTH every penny!"

  • Relaxing stay in modern spacious condo

"Great spacious condo. Very modern with great appliances. Only negative is two beach chairs are in disrepair so unusable and the plaque by front door was broken on the ground. Otherwise was a relaxing stay in F402."
