  • This is the place to rent!

"My husband and I and our 3 young adult children stayed her for a week. We wish it could've been longer! This condo is at the beautiful Waipouli Beach Resort, which is a quick 2 minute walk to the beach. The condo was so beautiful and well kept! We loved having the amazing kitchen to cook breakfast in and we grilled a couple dinners which saved money on eating out. Bathrooms were very spacious and loved having a washer and dryer in the condo. A plus having this unit was that the owners have included a couple of boogie boards, beach chairs and a few snorkeling sets for their guests to use! And movies and games to play. The owner followed through with every detail from info on how to get into property and refunded security deposit promptly. I would highly recommend staying here!"

  • Had a good time at WBR

"We stayed at this condo for 5 days. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our kids enjoyed the pool, water slides and the warm (not too hot since it is for kids) tub. We really liked Susan's condo. We did not find any roaches like the previous tenant mentioned. The appliances were in top notch condition and well cleaned. We did not spend all of our time in the condo. We would leave for site seeing after breakfast and usually come back around afternoon to hit the pool & beach. There are 3 different hot tubs. 2 are for adults and 1 is for kids. I really liked the idea of a "warm" tub for the kids since the adults without the kids could enjoy some time alone in the other hot tubs. The condo was very clean upon our arrival. I also liked that there is an a/c, washer and dryer in the unit. I was also glad that there was an elevator to get us to the 4th floor condo. Susan was really easy to contact over imessage or email. There is a Safeway, Starbucks, Panda Express and many other restaurants in walking distance from the condo. Few things I noticed: The beautiful lazy river pool is NOT heated. The water is really cold after 3sh. Toward the end of November, it was really windy and the pool was empty because of the coldness of the water. The hot tubs were filled with people though. One of the fresh towel had a blonde hair on it. I guess it came from the dryer. Probably, cleaners need some instructions to clean the dryer before using it. The ocean view was bit disrupted with an overgrown tree on the left side :(. We did not eat at the on site restaurant so I have no comments on them. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose to stay here again!"

  • Just what the doctor ordered!

"This, our first Hawaiian Island vacation, was a reward for my wife, as she had cared for her father (with mild Alzheimer's) in our home for the last 16 months of his life, & although neither of us ever balked at the privilege of providing care for a man we dearly loved, it still takes its emotional & mental toll. That being said, the primary purpose of our trip to Kauai was to relax, relax, & relax some more, & Ted's second floor Unit #205 met that purpose to a T. The east-facing balcony lanai just outside the window wall in the living room, with its sliding glass & screen doors, allowed us to "chill out", whether we were having Kauai coffee in the AM or lunch or supper or Longboard Lager & wine in the evening. The bedroom at the other end of the condo was very comfortable & had plenty of closet space but frankly, since we live in the high desert of Albuquerque NM, with plenty of "beach" but no ocean, we slept half the time on the sleeper sofa so that we could be lulled to sleep by waves crashing on the shore below us. I have a bad back, but honestly I was comfortable on the sleeper sofa. We hardly used the bedroom A/C, as the trade winds blowing thru the east sliding screen doors to west-facing bedroom windows kept us coolly comfortable all the time, whether we were awake or sleeping in either room. I know that previous reviews complained about traffic noise, but we found that it was not any more bothersome than most any large city (we have sirens, too) unless one is well away from arterials, but then you don't get the beachfront ambiance this condo provides; & if you like rural, then you will love the rooster "alarm clock" provided by a couple of Kauai's feral chickens. The website's views shown were not misleading: Wailua Bay waves hitting the beach were incredible. The 7 minute walk to the beach can be done without crossing the Kuhio Hwy. The undertow was too strong for swimming while we were there, but Lydgate Park is a 5 minute drive to have Snorkling 101, & you can drive to the south (best snorkeling) & north shores in less than an hour. Kitchen was well-appointed with any pots, dishes, appliances, etc., that one needs to cook meals; if you prefer walking to eat out, then there are 5 inexpensive restaurants 1-2 blocks away; we never had a bad meal at any of them. Plenty of electronics for entertainment, but we didn't come to Kauai to watch TV. If we come back to Kauai, we want to stay here again. Mahalo, Ted, Marvis, & Lauren!"

  • Stay here!!!

"We just returned from our first vacation in Hawaii. Our first amazing week was spent in this condo and the reviews and pictures won't prepare you for the paradise that awaits. I chose this property after a comprehensive search of the entire island and would absolutely stay here again if I am lucky enough to return. First, the location was perfect! As others have said; Kapaa is a wonderful little place in the middle of the coast, with close proximity to the airport in Lihue, and a short 30-40 minute drive to the south/Poipu or the north/Napali coastline. Next, the condo was such a "retreat" at the day's end; we could go to the pool, walk to the nearby Coconut Marketplace, or enjoy the beach by the property. *Tip- don't miss the great happy hour at the Lava Lava Beach Club- just a short walk away at the Kauai Shores property- cheap drinks and eats from 3-5 with "toes in the sand" seating and live music! The condo was so well equipped with absolutely everything we needed (we had a very different experience in Maui); it was very quiet and peaceful and really felt like a home away from home. Finally, our stay included what felt like our own personal concierge- Cindy in the office was simply a wealth of knowledge about everything Kauai- from ocean safety (there are a lot of rip currents here!) and restaurants to hiking and snorkeling- Cindy knew it all and never seemed annoyed at our endless questions! We spent our second week in Maui-each island has its own personality and benefits and I enjoyed Maui too. For me personally, if given a choice to go anywhere, I would return to this exact place in Kauai- it was beyond perfect. We were a family of four with 2 children, ages 11 and 8."
