  • Everything as promised!

"The suite is spacious and everything is in very good condition. I was particularly pleased by the variety and quality of "extras" in the kitchen - waffle maker, Panini press, loads of useful gadgets in the drawers - even a handheld electric mixer, which came in very handy when beating egg whites for the waffles! While the description says the suite has air conditioning in the master and the kitchen, that's a little inaccurate. The A/C in the master was plenty strong enough to keep us comfortable, and the vent in the living area comes out over the dining room and is sufficiently central that the whole living/kitchen/dining area can benefit. There were numerous plug-in fans available for use as well as ceiling fans in every room, which made the A/C not really necessary except for a couple of nights when we had Kona winds. The owners had even left two bicycles and a lot of beach stuff in the garage for us to use! So why only four stars? Let's see...the property is set up so that buildings by and large form a circle around the pool area. This suite overlooks the pool directly. Consequently, you hear everything. In fairness, the pool is completely closed down and empty by 9 pm, but days on the lanai are accompanied by the sound of crying babies and kids playing, amplified. I could clearly hear adults' conversations in the hot tub. Also, the building next door had developed a vibrating rattle in its heat pump, which was situated about 20 feet from the lanai and for some incomprehensible reason the occupant had that sucker going day and night (with their windows open...go figure). That was really intrusive. I did call the rental manager, and while they came out to take a look, they said there was nothing they could do about it. Those are things the owners have no control over, but they did impact on our enjoyment of the suite. That being said, the suite is very spacious, the wifi was incredibly fast, and the owners had lots and lots of goodies, loads of towels, kitchen stuff, plenty of dishes. There was nothing I could have wanted that was not available for us to use. The unit was clean and smelled fresh. The beds were comfortable, although the rough-textured mattress cover in the master took some getting used to. Built-in water filter was appreciated as the local water is a bit chorine-ish, but the filter made it taste fresher. And the bathtub is really long and deep! All told, a great place!"

  • Garden Oasis

"I was so glad we found this little gem amidst the ever so similar, and somewhat un personal resort landscape It's the right place for the traveller who is looking for a quiet retreat to come back to after a busy day.The welcoming gardens of this property are immaculate and professionally designed, full of life - you will drift to sleep to the sounds of frogs and wake up to the songs of birds. The bunkhouses, though small, are tastefully decorated and offered everything we needed. The beds are truly heavenly, in fact I do miss them already. All of this comes with a convenient location (only about 20 min from the Air Port), caring hosts and a relatively small price tag."

  • A Homestead in Kauai, not just a Bed and Breakfast

"My wife and I spent four nights in Kauai as part of our first trip to Hawaii for our 25th wedding anniversary. Rose and Norbert accommodated our request to drop bags off early while we started our activities on the island. When we showed up the room was immediately available though there had been a guest in our room the night before. We had excellent breakfasts (including grapefruit straight from the back yard, freshly picked and sweet, unlike what you get in the grocery). We had excellent advice on where to go, things to do, and where to eat from Rose. If you rent a room in the house you are staying in a very nicely appointed room with luxurious bed linens, fine furniture, and other beautiful appointments. You stay where they live. The location is very convenient to the east side f the island including Wailua Falls and the airport. The south side and Waimea canyon in the west and the Na Pali coast in the north are only about an hour away. We recommend this for couples as a nice quiet place in a safe neighborhood in Kapaa on Kauai. You would not regret staying here."

  • Beautiful and comfy!

"This condo overlooks the ocean from all rooms, has everything you need including 2 bathrooms, fully supplied with coffee maker and cooking utensils and even games, ice chest, beach bags & towels and snorkeling gear for heading out for the day. Conveniently located a mile away from a great grocery store and the main road that connects to all the north shore towns and beaches. We are so glad we stayed here rather than a hotel or resort. Even has free wifi and Netflix. Our family had a great time!"
