  • Comfortable and convenient

"We enjoyed our stay in this condo. The owner, Takemi, was attentive and easy to work with. The price was the most reasonable we found in this area. The view of the ocean is beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai morning and evening watching for whales (it was a little late in the season, but I saw one breach from the lanai), listening to the waves, and birdwatching. This condo was very well stocked from kitchen appliances and utensils, extra pillows and blankets, to beach towels, bags, coolers, chairs, and an umbrella. We found the king size bed and the pillows comfortable. We used the air conditioning in the bedroom many times and it blew very cold air (refreshing after a warm, sweaty day of hiking or snorkeling). The condo is in a very convenient location to the airport, shopping, restaurants, and getting to either end of the island within 30-40 minutes. We enjoyed the proximity and convenience. There are a few great restaurants just across the street and many more, as well as several stores, within a 5 minute drive. This condo is comfortable, clean, and homey. However, if you are looking for the most modern updates, you may be disappointed. It is starting to show some wear. Personally, I felt very comfortable here, and I was glad that something with such a nice location and view was available in my price range. If it were more updated, that would not have been true. It was not a negative for me - just something to keep in mind to manage your expectations. This is also not a location for you if you want to walk close by to a swimmable or snorkeling beach. Beaches in this area are for walking on and watching the water rather than entering. The surf is usually much too rough. There are some great paved beach walks close by in Kapa'a 5 minutes north or Lydgate Park 5 minutes south, though. I recommend both of them. We spent our beach days at Anini Beach on the north shore and Kiahuna Beach at the Sheraton in Poipu on the south shore. Snorkeling was nice at Lawai Beach on the south shore. All of these were a 25 minute drive from the condo. We enjoyed driving up the Waimea Canyon Drive and doing some hiking. We also enjoyed sailing the Na Pali coast. We found the food on Kauai to be super expensive, so we ate at many local hole in the wall restaurants and food trucks. I am so glad we did! We especially recommend Porky's in Waimea, Craving Thai in Koloa, and Tiki Tacos and Verde in Kapa'a. Mahalo for sharing your home! Lisa & John"

  • Scenic Ocean View and Comfortable Condominium

"We very much enjoyed our stay here in this condominium at Plantation Hale. Why? The location of the condo was convenient being the first one at the top of the stairs. There were 2 nice decks to be able to sit out and enjoy the ocean view and soft breezes. It was very neat and clean, well maintained, creative decor, comfortable bed and furniture. The kitchen had beautiful, new appliances and it was well equipped with utensils and dinnerware. There were also extra beach towels as well as, of course, bath towels. It is conveniently located in the center of Kapaa easily accessible to restaurants, grocery stores, and shops in the town. The owner is easy to contact either by phone, text, or email. He is very friendly, courteous, and accommodating. We would definitely recommend it to our relatives and friends, as well as stay there again. It was an enjoyable stay! J. & P."

  • Ultimate Vacation at Wailua Riverside Cottage

"What a wonderful place to stay for a week in Kauai! This super upstairs cabin has all comforts of home on the edge of the Wailua River and has all kinds of gear to enjoy the river and beaches. It is in a perfect spot in Kauai away from the city noise, but next to the heart of the island with the restaurants and beaches of Pipou and Kaapa, plus halfway between the tip of the north shore and the end of the road on west shore. And we had the beautiful Wailua river just a few steps away from the bottom of the stairs. The owner was a delight and helped us see the best of the island. Not only would we recommend this hideaway delight to all our friends, we hope that we can get to stay there again."

  • Couldn't be better!

"This is the 4th time we've stayed in this unit after years of staying in others. Obviously we think this is the best. The view is incredible, the grounds beautiful, great pool and beach, easy walk to shops and restaurants. We like staying in Kapaa because it is centrally located. If you are lucky enough to stay here, you won't be disappointed."
