  • First time to Kauai

"We couldn't have been more pleased with condo. Loved the well equipped kitchen, made meal prep a breeze. We were concerned that there wasn't A/C but there was always a lovely breeze. We enjoyed the salt water pool every evening. View from balcony was great and we were able to watch the July 4th fireworks from unit. Appreciated the laundry facilities in the unit and beach towels that saved us from having additional baggage."

  • Landscaping is breathtaking. Location is perfect. Condo gave you a feeling of home.

"My husband and I really enjoyed our vacation trumendiously. The area to which the condo was located definitely helped. We were able to wake up and head either direction. The condo itself had everything we needed down to the beautiful beach. We were even able to walk to a nice restaurant with outside dining for lunch and even when we just wanted to enjoy a drink while admiring the beuty. The landscaping at condo was incredible. Made you relax even more. The owner definitely makes you feel welcome and adds touches of home everywhere within. My husband and I agree our next visit to Kauai will definitely be spend at Linda's condo."

  • First Trip to Kauai & Loved It

"Islander on the Beach was perfectly located to explore all parts of the island. Unit 224 had the ocean view we wanted with unobstructed view of the ocean and being able to hear the ocean waves. Parking was only slightly inconvenient. On a 4 night stay, we had to park in the Coconut Marketplace lot once. While the signs said you would be towed, the property said as long as you have the property parking permit, we were fine. The unit itself was clean and well stocked. The decor was outdated, but was not to the point of being a turnoff. It didn't have a stove for light cooking, but it didn't matter to us since we were out from early morning to late at night enjoying the food throughout the island. If you want to cook your own meals, you are limited to a toaster oven and I think a microwave. Visiting in July was quite warm and the AC unit didn't seem to work well unless you stood right in front of it. This wasn't a big deal since we only stayed in the unit to sleep. Our only real complaint is the bed. It squeaks loudly and we woke up stiff each morning. If a bed is high quality for a good sleep, any other deficiencies are easily overlooked. This includes high quality sheets and a modern white or solid light color bed duvet cover. Just a little advice to the owner. The beach at the property was beautiful. Sunrise each morning is priceless. The sand was deep and coarse, and the waves were quite strong. This was fine for my wife and I, but may not be the best for young children. Walking a little farther down the beach, there was a nice area for the whole family. There was a nice pool side bar, pool and shower. Having an ABC store next door at the Coconut Marketplace was very convenient. Longs Drug Store, Safeway, and even Starbucks was just a few blocks away. If you want a delicious oceanfront meal, go to Dukes next to the Marriott Resort. Its a few miles away south of the airport and worth the experience. We had the Seared Ahi and Monchong Fish dinner for one of the best overall dining experiences we've had in a long time. The price of the unit was affordable and fair for an island central location and oceanfront view. We would return in a heartbeat if the unit gets a new bed. This is the only thing that prevents us from returning. If you need a 3-4 star hotel quality decor and features, this may not be the place, but if you are fine with a cozy, clean and budget friendly place to stay while visiting Kauai, we highly recommend it."

  • Paradise!

"We stayed in this condo for 14 wonderful nights, August 1st-15th. In my opinion, this is the best unit at Kaha Lani! The enormous lanai overlooking the pool and ocean was incredible. We started every morning drinking our coffee and watching the brilliant sunrise. From the large beach towels to the pool rafts and beach umbrellas, this condo had just about everything we needed to hit the beach and pool. The large cooler was also convenient for those lunches on-the-go. Lydgate Park is just a short walk away and has some pretty fabulous snorkeling. The washer and dryer is a huge perk, it sure beats using the coin operated machines. The kitchen was well appointed and there wasn't a single thing that we needed that wasn't there! There was even a crock pot that came in handy to cook meatballs while we were lounging at the beach. The grounds are kept meticulous and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the pool was (and I am picky about community pools). There are pool lights for night swimming until 10 pm and they light tiki torches as an added bonus! So cool! There are two gas grills at the pool that are also kept super clean. The crew at this property keep things in tip top shape! The location is an absolutely perfect launching place to visit the entire island. I can't say enough great things about this condo. We have already looked to book unit 307 again over the holidays but it looks like this unit stays pretty full. I can definitely see why! Thanks to Peter for helping make this a wonderful trip for myself, my husband, 2 girls (ages 8 and 10) and my 67 yr old mother."
