  • It was clean, neat and a wonderful view of the ocean!

"The Islander on the Beach was very close to all kinds of shopping and wonderful beaches! It seemed about midway to the North shore and the West side of the island so it was centrally located. Enjoyed watching the Monk seal that came ashore to rest and sleep!"

  • Great view for a great price!

"This place was nearly perfect for our 3-night stay. Great location for exploring the island in either direction and what a view! You feel like you are sitting on the beach below the ocean is so close! We loved leaving the sliders open at night so we could fall asleep to the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. The living room sofa was comfy - but for how far away you have to sit from the tv, the tv should be bigger. Not a deal breaker - just sayin'. The kitchen has everything, except a salad spinner (but that is just my opinion as we eat a lot of salads), one would need to create awesome meals. We grilled fresh fish (from The Fish Express - they have killer poke, too) and made huge salads with local produce 2 of the 3 nights we were there and really enjoyed eating out on the lanai. Also, having coffee/breakfast each morning on the lanai was beautiful as well. The shower in the bathroom had good pressure, which is always nice, and there was plenty of counter space for the two of us. The bed was comfortable, too, and although we travel light - there was more than enough closet and drawer space should one need that. I also enjoyed the hand-painted wall in the bedroom and some of the artsy decorations as I am a creative person. I only contacted mgmt once to see what we needed to do prior to our departure, and she was very nice (I think her name was Cindy). We would love to come back as Kauai is our favorite island. Aloha for now..."

  • Everything we needed in a perfect spot on Kauai

"This condo was well equipped - the kitchen, washer/dryer, beach chairs and towels, comfortable living space, beautiful and comfortable lanai with the ocean right there. Easy access to the ocean by walking down a flight of stairs to the beach right next door. The location in Kapaa was convenient to restaurants, dining, and the other parts of the island. Easy and ample parking. The facility is on the small side so it feels more like home than a resort, which is exactly what we were looking for. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in paradise."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was simply perfect. We arrived to find the unit clean and just as pictured. The kitchen has everything you need and was ready for us to cook a meal. We found beach chairs and beach towels in the closet and masks snorkels under the kitchen sink. There is beach access minutes (like 3)away and it was never crowded. Foodland is a short walk, about a block, away and they are reasonably priced if you get a shoppers card. The laundry room was a short walk from the unit and was clean and functional. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone. You are a short drive to Kapaa and it is centrally located to everything on the island. It would be nice if there was an area with a grill, that was the one thing we missed was grilling a Kauai beef steak. We have been coming to Kauai for many years but this is our first stay at this location. We WILL be back to Village Manor D22"
