  • Fantastic....

"This was our first trip to Kauai, after having such a good time touring the island we'll be back. This property was great, the unit is exactly like the pictures. We traveled with our kids (ages 14 and 11) this unit is perfect as it gives everyone space and the comforts of home. The large oceanfront lanai was great for relaxing. We enjoyed having the full kitchen with most everything one could need. This rental property was very convenient to both ends of the island, the Smith Family Luau, close to grocery stores and great places to eat. The only noise was the ocean waves. The grounds are very well kept. Cindy was a pleasure to work with and was a good resource for recommendations i.e. beaches, places to eat etc. Much appreciated."

  • Great Bang for the Buck

"We just returned from our trip wherein we stayed in B208. We have ZERO complaints about the unit or property and will use this review to provide some insights and perspectives to others considering renting this unit for their stay. Bulletized due to character length: * Kapaa - centrally located and local vibe. Much better than touristy Poipu and Hanalei/Princeville IMHO. You can reach either end of the island in a little over an hour - without the Kapaa traffic - which there is - it's a bottleneck into Lihue. *Pona Kai Resort - Older but nice, great location, everything we needed - except ice - that's for resort owned properties (which this isn't). Plenty of parking and BBQ grills. Standard pool and Jacuzzi, that the kids used once. Who needs a fancy lava pool when you have the Pacific Ocean 50 feet away? *B208 - Great unit, well decorated, beautiful view, 2nd floor, 50 feet from water. Literally, the picutres of the view do not do it justice with how close tot he water it really is. Unit above has weak floor - you will hear them walking around. Beach in front of unit is a beach wall with sand to the right and to the left. Right is filthy with debris and the water is constantly murky - don't recommend it. To the left is much better, water is clear in the morning and murks up in the afternoon. Faces east so you get sunrise everyday, but also the wind (useful for cooling off the unit - just open the slider and the front door and you too can experience your own windstorm :) ). East also means ocean surge, which creates the murk and heavy current. There are pretty spectacular beaches not far away. Kapaa shops and restaurants all within walking distance from the unit. Nice beach pathway for walking/riding. We saw sea turtles and monk seals from the unit. Owner, Manager, and Caretaker were all as accommodating as they could be and very responsive to emails/texts. *Roosters - or Velocaroosters as we called them are everywhere. Especially outside of your balcony window, at 5:45am, when the people below you think it's cool to feed them pre-dawn. Didn't really matter, as the roosters there are seriously confused and literally crow all the time - not at the unit - on the entire island, and I was up at 5:30am everyday anyway. Great bang for the buck, would rent this again in a heartbeat. Loved the location and the unit. If we go back to Kauai, we will request this unit. Brian, Larry, and Allie are awesome."

  • Pacific Ocean right in you lap

"Fine resort complex with pool and pleasant service. High point was the condo's spectacular view, with the Pacific right in your lap. The two-bedroom, two-bath unit had plenty of room, but lacked some of the necessities for a stay: no dish or laundry soap, only two rolls of toilet paper for six people for a week's stay. However, beds were comfortable; little if any noise from neighbors. This location in Kapaa is convenient for traveling to north and south beaches."

  • Wonderful superb beachfront condo

"My husband and I have rented many properties on the other islands but this was our first visit to Kauai. We could not have been more pleased with this condo. From the moment we walked in to the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks right outside the lanai we knew we had made the right choice. The condo is steps away from a beautiful sandy beach and within minutes from fabulous restaurants of all varieties. greatMexican food, delicious pizza, great coffee, Freshly baked passion fruit and cream cheese croissants went perfectly with coffee on the lanai each day. Happy hour cocktails at the Lava Lava beach club with our feet in the sand was under 5 minutes walking distance. We kayaked across the road with the incredible Kayak Wailua company, hiked to waterfalls, went on the bike trail, snorkeled at Anini beach park, visited the breathtaking Polihale beach park at the end of the island, snorkeled with turtles and many more things too numerous to list. The condo is equipped with everything you could think of. Shayne obviously thought of what he would like if he was staying there and provided it and more. There is even a kettle which for us cup of tea loving Brits is perfect. There are 2 brand new tvs which we did not even take the covers off, great wi if service, plenty of parking and even binoculars so you can verify it was a humpback you just watched breaching whilst you were sitting on the lanai. The beds were comfortable, there is zero noise from the road and booking with Shayne was easy and efficient. He had great suggestions for our stay and was helpful when we changed our booking half way through our vist. If you are looking for the perfect place to stay to be centrally located to access both ends of the island then this is the condo for you. You will not be disappointed. We would return here on our next trip to Kauai."
