  • Beautiful house filled with Aloha

"This has by far been my favorite rental. Hale Haena sits on my favorite part of the island, the north shore. It's views of the ocean and mountains are majestic and breath taking. Just a short bike ride away is tunnels beach and haena state park, by far the most beautiful and perfect beaches on kauai. The house is welcoming and pristine. You can tell the owner takes great pride in this house as anyone should who steps foot in the door. Other reviewers stated signs were rude and too much, but I found them a great reminder to treat your house the way you would treat your own. If this house is an investment or retirement home for the owners, I would want it maintained and respected by guests. Many renters tend to forget this. Mahalo for the great memories. I would 100% recommend this house and I look forward to staying here in the future."

  • North Shore = Best Shore

"The studio is very clean and located on a quiet, private, gated property with nice landscaping. You are only minutes from the world famous Kalalau trail, Tunnels Beach, and Hanalei Bay. We explored all other areas of the island and the north shore is by far the best. Tunnels beach has some of the clearest water you will ever see and there aren't nearly as many people on the north shore as what you will find on the south and east shores. From the studio you can make a quick day trip on the Kalalau trail to the amazing Hanakapai'ai Falls or if you're up for it, get a permit and do the entire Kalalau trail. We were unable to get a permit, so plan way ahead. We received our security deposit in full very quickly after leaving and we would definitely come back here again and we recommend it to travelers of all ages (We were 26 and 29 at the time of our trip)."

  • Relaxed Kauai Getaway

"This home definitely fit with the Kauai vibe! Close to Tunnels beach, can easily accommodate six people without feeling like you're on top of each other, and the outdoor shower was great! The town of Hanalei was very charming, and only 10 minutes down the road. Thanks for sharing your home with us!"

  • Wonderful Beach Access

"This is an absolutely unbeatable location. The quiet North Shore lets you enjoy non-commercial Kauai. The house itself has a large manicured back yard, good for frisbee, football, or lawn darts. Then, you hit the sand of the beach. What a fantastic view and full beaches to choose right by the house or for short walks either way. A terrific surprise for us was the quality of the fish to see on the reef that is right by the house. No need to drive or hike to see many, many gorgeous fish. The wrap-around lanai on the house was perfect for breakfasts, mid-day relaxation, or peacefully waiting out a brief rainstorm. Our family of six used all the beds in the house and found them to be comfortable and more that satisfactory. Having the two day beds in the living room does mean there is no couch, but you should be out at the beach anyway! The only drawback of our stay was when the washing machine went out. The appliances throughout the house are a bit older, but all else worked fine throughout the stay. Highly recommended, mostly for the comfort and quiet of the house and the absolutely magnificent location."
