  • Ideal location and house for quiet and peace

"The house was beyond perfect. The rooms are large and comfortable, there is plenty of privacy yet feels very cozy at the same time. It also has a fabulous washer and dryer which is necessary when traveling with children! The kitchen is well stocked, the beach is perfect for children and folks looking to snorkel without crowds. The entire week we were there we saw at most six other people on the point. The place is so quiet and the rooster crows only about three times in the morning, after the sunrise. If you are looking for a quiet place, close to Hanalei and the Na Pali trails but away from the crowds, this is ideal. I would recommend this house to couples, or families with children. Even teenagers, as the wifi works throughout the house."

  • This Place is Loaded!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I think this is my fourth rental with Bali Hai and they continue to impress with the quality of places they offer. Hale Hina had a supply of snorkeling gear, boogie boards, and beach chairs for the whole group. We had to rent one set of fins because my niece's feet are so small. The kitchen exceeds anything I've seen in a rental thus far. Food processor, blenders (2!), and most of the gadgets you have at home. A lemon juicer? Check. Measuring cups and spoons. Etc., etc. Pictures are accurate. Simply and minimally decorated, Hale Hina has a light, airy, clean feel. We felt very comfortable."

  • Perfection...

"We were in town for a wedding and wanted to experience a more authentic Kauai experience than spending the week confined in the St. Regis. The Hale Makai Cottages fit the bill perfectly. The property is steps from the beach (we walked along the beach to Tunnels one morning) and very well kept. The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything you'd need. We ended up cooking dinner all 3 nights, there are some great farmer's markets nearby, and found the kitchen well equipped with all the pots, pans and cutlery required for meal prep. There was even a BBQ right off the back of our unit which we made use of one night! The property is pretty far down the Kuhio Highway (about a 20 minutes drive outside of Hanalei Bay) which means it's paradise for anyone looking for a quiet getaway. We'll definitely be coming back a highly recommend to anyone looking for a similar experience."

  • Great place for quiet relaxation

"Studio is perfect for two people who want to enjoy the north shore but still have some home comforts. Laundry and kitchen were really helpful, bed was comfortable. Lesley was super nice as a host, really felt like we were welcomed there."
