  • Beautiful cozy home in a perfect location!

"We love the Mermaid House! My husband and I and our kids (12, 9 and 7 yrs old) loved coming back to this cozy home after our days adventuring around the island. The layout was very comfortable and we felt we had more than enough room. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed cooking almost all of our meals that week at home. (Great money saver!) Thank you for such a beautiful place to call home for our vacation."

  • Perfect get away on the north end

"We loved our honeymoon stay at the Love Shack. Great view - sunrise in bed? Yes PLEASE. Claw foot tub was great. This is a cabin, not a luxury home, and since it's near the beach and salt water, it will look a little more "worn in" than the pictures suggest. It was clean, comfortable, and fresh. Loved having such large windows out on the beach. The air blew in the slats and into the house and kept us very cool. Kitchen has everything you need to cook. The property manager was onsite when we arrived and very friendly. They keep the place well manicured outside. Love, love, love it. Hawaii is always pricier than the mainland so I'm not sure what all the fuss is about with regard to restaurant prices being too high - we expected it. Loved our coffee every morning in town and trying out the nice restaurants (wide range of price ranges). Hanalei Coffee Company and Bar Acuda were fantastic. Wish the weather had cooperated more for snorkeling but that's just the time of year that we went and a great excuse to come back. We WILL be back. Ditto to the comments about leaving the Love Shack and going to another condo - we left and went to a nearby resort. While a resort has it's advantages, we definitely missed having our own home to stay in with incredible views and the chance to explore."

  • Great house on the beach

"Booked this house because it was on the beach on the north shore of Kauai. Location is far out and shopping is 4 to 7 miles from the house. The house has 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and is large enough for 14 people as we had 13 on our visit. Except for the rain the house was great for our stay. The beach in front is OK as it has a lot of rocks and coral not great for swimming. there are better beaches close though. Had some issues with all the rain bugs, ants which were expected with all the rain. Kauai is the wettest island with over 450 inches of rain. There were 5 tropical storms the week before we went there and also the week we were there with lots of clouds and showers because of all the storms heading towards Hawaii. Overall, our trip was nice, with my family enjoyed the island. Would probably stay closer to things on another trip to Hawaii."

  • Kauai Hideaway

"Perfectly located at the far end of the north coast, and a short walk to several bustiful beaches, this is a perfect place for those who want to be a bit off the grid but desire very pleasant surroundings. TheHouse is wel-equipped, with a wonderful lanai that allows you to combine life at the shore with a view of the mountains."
