  • Great Place to Stay!

"We loved our stay in late September. The apartment is fully furnished and equipped, super clean and just a block from the beach. The usage of the cruiser bikes, boogie boards and beach chairs were great. Paul and Amy are terrific hosts and took care of every request right away. We would stay there again in a minute!"

  • Loved it!!!!!

"This was our families first experience staying at a VRBO and we had a fantastic experience! The home is gorgeous with a spectacular view of the mountain. The accommodations were more than comfortable for our family of five. The house is extremely well equipped for cooking and had beach chairs & boogie boards to use which our kids loved. It is a short walk to the beach and the house is located close to many of the sights and the town of Hanalei Bay. We had a few issues pop up and Joanne had them taken care of that day. She also booked an amazing helicopter tour for us. She was awesome! All in all our trip to Hanalei was a trip to remember. We highly recommend staying here."

  • Perfect Place in Paradise 😍

"Staying in Hanalei at the Hanalei Surfboard House was fantastic experience. Amazing location, beach so so close we also loved the proximity to all the activities we wanted, shore beaches, shopping in Hanalei, hiking the Kalalau. The garden is really quite and lovely. This place is so beautiful and very clean . Feel like a home away home. We stay 5 days at Elvis Romm , our room had everything we could possibly need , books, beach chairs, towels, bbq. Simon the owner was an excellent host, very friendly and helpful."

  • Relaxing peaceful escape!

"My husband and I had an amazing and relaxing week staying at the Song of the Jungle, and would love to come again! Every morning we awoke to jungle birds singing, without any noises of traffic or people. We loved having our breakfast out on the deck, listening to the birds and enjoying the solitude of nature. The bedrooms are perfect, with a total of 3 beds to choose from. The main bedroom has an extremely comfortable bed. There is another bed in the kitchen (there was some clicking noise from the fridge, but it was minimal. We liked how the curtains tied up during the day for light, and we could put them all down at night to make this room feel private), and the third bed on the lanai is very close to nature (your head is right next to the screen, so all of the nature noises - bird calls, breezes, rain - feels like it is right there). We really enjoyed having a kitchen, and outdoor grill, which was adequate to make meals to enjoy on the small deck. We appreciated that Dawn has kindly left items that were helpful for beach outings, such as a cooler with freezer packs in the freezer, beach chairs, snorkel gear, plenty of sets of beach towels, etc. Also that we could use the washer/dryer as needed. The outdoor shower is divine. Just a last note - The location is perfect for people who love Hanalei/northern Kaua'i. It was very close to Tunnels beach , Ke'e beach (great sunset location). However, on the days where we explored the rest of the island (Waimea canyon, Poipu), it was quite a lot of driving. It is not easy to zip back and forth from the rental to town and back multiple times a day. The road from Hanalei to the rental is narrow and winds around continually, with several one lane bridges, and it requires a lot of concentration. This makes the area feel removed, which we loved. Driving this at night or in rain can be tricky. It could be dangerous if you are planning to go out each night in Hanalei and drink alcohol, etc.. However, it was perfect to spend the majority of our time locally and a few longer day trips. Also, the driveway is pretty steep and a bit slippery in the rain. We parked at the bottom and walked up as needed. We loved Song of the Jungle. Dawn was sweet, friendly and kind. On the day that we checked out, she even let us come back in the late afternoon after our day at the beach, to take showers in the outdoor shower before we headed to the airport for a late flight home. We really appreciated this. We hope to be back!"
