  • Great House in Paradise

"This year our group of 5 celebrated our 10th, 2-week stay at Paulele. We love the spaciousness of the house and lanai and the short walk to the beach. Another big plus is that the 3 bedrooms we utilize have their own bathrooms and there is an extra bathroom with shower off the living area. The kitchen is well-stocked and beach chairs, towels, etc. are provided. We appreciate the upgrades that have been made throughout the years -- a wagon for hauling our stuff to the beach was added this year. Our 2017 stay is already booked and we can hardly wait!"

  • Excellent house in Halalei

"My husband and I arrived at this wonderful house two days prior to the rest of your family and what a treat for us! Compared to the photos (which are luring) the house exceeded our expectations. The custom wooden ceilings, teak floors and furniture make for a cozy, intimate atmosphere in a home that easily digested our large family including a 6 month old and a 2 year old and teenagers. The kitchen is a gourmet cook's delight and functions very well for meal preparations, as many other houses we have rented do not. Because of the lay out of the house there is a lot of individual privacy and the master suite upstairs is indeed an oasis of escape with its beautiful views, jacuzzi tub, large shower (which we did not use because of the wonderful outdoor private garden shower which made us feel we were in the garden,of eden!) and private sitting area. Our daughter brought work with her and was delighted with the fast wifi connection and separate desk/work area away from the rest of the house. Everything you could wish for is within a 5 minute walk: BEACH (2 miles of uncrowned sand), grocery store, post office, myriad of restaurants, bars and shops, surf board and kayak rentals. We used our rental car only 3 of the 7 days. Hanalei is that perfect family destination we have searched for and this is the perfect house! We will without a doubt return."

  • Beautiful Location!

"My teenage son and I stayed here for 4 nights. The location is incredible. The price was excellent for this location! We were able to walk to the beach every evening before sunset and sit on the quiet beach of Hanalei Bay. The beach is literally a 30 second walk from the unit. Debbie and Lloyd were very kind and accommodating. The unit is clean and comfortable and they have bikes, a barbecue, beach chairs, and beach towels to use during your stay. This island has so much to see, we spent very little time in the unit itself. This isn't the island to stay inside, you have to get out and explore. If you want to explore the North Shore, this is an ideal place to stay. There isn't a/c, and that wasn't a problem. We were able to open the windows and turn on the fans. It was nice and breezy at night. I might have been uncomfortable if we had spent time during the day inside, but again, if that is what you want, stay in a resort somewhere. This is a place to get out all day and explore the beauty of Kauai. We were really tired at night and the only upgrade I would suggest is a better TV. It does rain a lot and at times you want to just relax and maybe watch a movie in the evening. The TV made a lot of cracking sounds when warming up. So, we pretty much left it off all the time. The furniture in the living area is wicker and not all that comfortable for sitting in relaxing. But, again as I said, if you want to stay in, then this isn't the place for you. Also, if they would offer a WiFi guest password that would have also been a nice thing to have. Our cell phone carrier is Sprint and service was very spotty. I would have felt better if I knew I had a connection to back home in the event of emergency at home with my other family members. Also WiFi would have been great, to upload pictures after seeing beautiful Kauai all day long. Thank you again for sharing your lovely place with us. We loved it!!"

  • Terrific Stay!! Can't wait to go back!

"We had such a great time staying at Taj Ma Hale. We were there with two families, and the bedroom setup was so ideal, since there are two really comfortable master bedrooms with luxurious bathrooms, along with the other three smaller bedrooms for the kids. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked, and there was enough room for a few people to cook in the kitchen at the same time. The second sink was really a plus. I do wish there were a larger dining room table, as it was a bit tight when all of us sat down together for meals, but we appreciated the old Hawaiiana style of the table and a lot of the furniture around the house. We also wished there were bicycles to use, but we ended up renting them, and I would suggest that for other guests. It made going into town and exploring Hanalei a lot of fun. We would definitely stay again."
