  • Wonderful little home, close to beach and town

"My family (including myself, my husband, my adult sister, and my one-year-old son) stayed at this property in May 2016 and overall were incredibly pleased. The home is fairly simple, but is cute, clean, well equipped, and in a fantastic location! For the price, you really can't beat the home's proximity to both Hanalei Bay and Hanalei town -- very easy and convenient to walk to both. The house is a nice size for a group of four; everyone in our party had sufficient space and felt very comfortable. An extra bonus, the home is well equipped with kids' stuff (pack-n-play, booster seat, beach toys), which we appreciated. The management and housekeeper were both responsive and great to work with. The only potential downside to be aware of is that there is another house right next door (on the same property and under the same management) and sound travels (you can hear everything and vice versa). This wasn't a big problem for us, but I imagine it could be an issue if there was a rowdy group next door. Overall, this is a great little home. We'd come back in a heartbeat. Book it - you won't be disappointed!!"

  • LOVE it

"Loved the big bath, loved the beach, love the Hawaii vibe of this place. The lawn and BBQ are splendid, and if you're aok with not being *right* on the beach, then this is the perfect situation."

  • Hidden treasure near Hanalei

"My husband and I enjoyed a week-long stay at 100 Shades of Green in December. We appreciated the beautiful garden and the sound of the river at night. The upstairs master bedroom is a beautiful space. House is well maintained, clean and free of clutter. We could easily cook in the full kitchen and launder beach towels and rain-soaked clothes in the washer/dryer. The screened in outdoor dining and lounging area was a perfect space - with a comfortable hammock and dining table overlooking the river. It protected us from the mosquitos in an indoor/outdoor space. We didn't use the two downstairs bedrooms - but realize the house would be great for two couples (and 2 kids). The outdoor shower was great to have when getting back from the beach before using the hot tub. On damp days, there could be a slight mildew smell in the downstairs area of the house -- but not enough to be bothersome. The owners were great about communicating - even providing their own "guide to the island" with helpful tips on favorite restaurants, places to see and where to find parking at special beaches. We loved our stay -- and the feeling of "being away from it all." Much better than being in condo-land!"

  • Paradise found!

"My brother and I stayed here with our families in February. The property was great with the bunk house for our kids and the main house for the adults. We loved sitting on the lanai in the morning and watching the various birds on the property. Bring binoculars! The beaches on this side of the island are so beautiful you have to pinch yourself! And you get to be within walking distance! We used the barbecue several times and enjoyed dinner on the lanai. There were board games at night and we played frisbee on the front lawn. This property was the centerpiece of a memorable vacation for our families. We would recommend it and hope to return in the future."
