  • Excellent house in Halalei

"My husband and I arrived at this wonderful house two days prior to the rest of your family and what a treat for us! Compared to the photos (which are luring) the house exceeded our expectations. The custom wooden ceilings, teak floors and furniture make for a cozy, intimate atmosphere in a home that easily digested our large family including a 6 month old and a 2 year old and teenagers. The kitchen is a gourmet cook's delight and functions very well for meal preparations, as many other houses we have rented do not. Because of the lay out of the house there is a lot of individual privacy and the master suite upstairs is indeed an oasis of escape with its beautiful views, jacuzzi tub, large shower (which we did not use because of the wonderful outdoor private garden shower which made us feel we were in the garden,of eden!) and private sitting area. Our daughter brought work with her and was delighted with the fast wifi connection and separate desk/work area away from the rest of the house. Everything you could wish for is within a 5 minute walk: BEACH (2 miles of uncrowned sand), grocery store, post office, myriad of restaurants, bars and shops, surf board and kayak rentals. We used our rental car only 3 of the 7 days. Hanalei is that perfect family destination we have searched for and this is the perfect house! We will without a doubt return."

  • A Wonderful Week!

"My family (of six adults) stayed here over Thanksgiving. The home is beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. What we loved most is the privacy of each of the bedrooms, which allowed everyone to come and go as they pleased. The front living room and balcony have beautiful views and we enjoyed sitting each morning enjoying coffee together. The house is on a private lot with a large backyard and one of our favorite activities in the morning was racing to the avocado tree to pick up fresh fallen avocados before the chickens got to them! Such a treat to have delicious avocadoes everyday! The location was perfect! A 5 min walk into town and a 5 min walk to the beach. The owner Anne has provided everything you need for beach fun (chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas) even a beach buggie so you don't have to lug you stuff! We enjoyed many afternoons together on the beach, playing in the pacific. The house is in top condition and the owner is very organized, accessible and responsive. Anne is very communicative and one of the things we really appreciated was the care that was taken in providing helpful and useful information about the house and the town. Our stay was trouble free and so easy! I would highly recommend this property and we hope to stay here again! So many memories we will cherish forever. Mahalo!"

  • The most idyllic natural setting – an absolute gem in the hidden heart of Kauai's North Shore

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Red Ginger Hale on Kauai’s North Shore. It really is one of the most spectacular settings we have come across on our travels. The property is a stunning oasis buried in the rainforest. The surrounds are endlessly green with a sleepy atmosphere and the unit itself is retreat-like with comfortable furnishings, soft day beds, an expansive dining space and large windows throughout that face the beautiful greenery and nearby mountains. We honestly could have spent all four days just enjoying the serenity of the space. Just a note that the road to Red Ginger is a dirt road, full of potholes. We found it to be a fun and adventurous drive, but it was a challenge in our small economy-sized rental car. A Jeep or 4WD would handle the terrain far better. This really is a dream location and we would return tomorrow if we could!"

  • Great location, beautiful views, very friendly property owner

"The property owners are very friendly. They made sure we had all of our accommodations before arriving and reached out to us to see how things were going. The location of the property was perfect. It was a quick 5 minute drive to the restaurants and beach in Hanalei and less than a 2 minute drive to the grocery store. We walked around the neighborhood and the views are beautiful. The property is a short 1 mile walk to the beach between the Hanalei pier and St. Regis beach. The neighbors in the complex were incredibly friendly and would always say hi going into and out of the property. The unit also had a washer/drier which was really nice for all of the hiking we did. Overall, I am really happy with our experience at this property."
