"It is not often that you find a place to stay and everything meets your expectations. People always use photos that make a place look better than it really is..NOT the case here! This is the first time we ever rented a house and it was FAR BETTER than what we thought we booked. From the second we walked in the front door and began to explore, we were blown away. Could the house be any better? No way! Could the location be any better? Not unless it was literally on the beach. Tony, your pictures are amazing, but they don't do this house justice to truly show how great it is!
The house is stocked with absolutely everything you could need to make your stay comfortable and feel as if you are right at home--except you are in paradise. In the description, where it says it is "perfect for two families", this is more accurate than you can imagine. We had two families and it was almost like having a house for each of us. A separate living room downstairs, huge master suite and bath, plus access to the patio and grassy backyard! The huge, open living area and kitchen upstairs was ideal for hanging out together and the screened lanai that ran the entire width of the house was perfect for enjoying the amazing view during every meal together. The kids even had their own lair, complete with a huge full bathroom just for them and two bunkbeds.
Did I mention the great location!? It is no more than 100 yards to the beach, if that. It took us less than 3 minutes to get there every day, and that was with 2 crazy kids and pushing a stroller. Downtown Hanalei (if you can call it that) was only 3 blocks away, a 10 min walk if you walk slow. So many great places to enjoy for every meal. We highly recommend Wishing Well Shave Ice--for both their shave ice and their Acai bowls. The Hanalei Bread Company has great coffee and superb breakfast, brunch and lunch options. Their avocado toast was out of this world! (Hint: they sell pre-made pizza dough for taking back to the house and making your own, which we do every Friday night). If you are in town on a Saturday, don't miss the Hanalei Farmer's Market next to the soccer fields.
I could go on and on and on, but I think you get the point. Wish we could have stayed longer, but when we head back, we'll be looking to book this place again. Staying here really helped contribute to making our family's first trip to Kauai truly unforgettable!"
