  • What a great experience!

"We chose Gilligan's to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and we could not have picked a better place! The entire staff was helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed our stay so much, we were sad to leave. We were looking for privacy and seclusion & found the cottage to be the perfect tranquil getaway. The new granite countertops in the kitchen looked great, and added a touch of modern flair. Everything was clean & very well maintained, and we appreciated the motion light by the front door, to help guide us back in at night. The valley gets pretty dark at night, which I quite like. Living in a metropolis area, it was a welcome thing, and contributed to the peace and country feel. Each day as we headed out, we would close the house up , & were very happy at how quickly it cooled down when we returned, & opened everything back up again. The geckos were my favorite, and other than the crowing, we got a kick out of the roosters and chickens hanging out in the yard. Tony was a breeze to work with, very accommodating, and answered all of our questions. This was our first trip to Hawaii, and the cottage was the best initiation we could have hoped for. We hope to make it back someday, as it was an unforgettable experience! Mahalo! Sarah & Brett"

  • Wonderful haven near the beach!

"This home was the perfect retreat for us to spend our honeymoon. It was clean, quaint, and just steps from the beach! My favorite part about it was the fully equipped kitchen and grill on the deck, where we were able to cook up some fresh fish and veggies with a cold beer. We fell asleep every night to the distant sound of crashing waves and singing frogs from the nearby pond. We loved the friendly geckos and lizards that stopped by to say hello. The property even had coconut and papaya trees that we could harvest for a nice afternoon snack. The only thing that needed some help was the plumbing/water pressure that had an occasional sputter or low-flow. But that, by no means, affected how much we enjoyed staying here!"

  • A LITTLE PIECE OF PARADISE

"Our family of eight adults and three small children was not interested in a busy vacation. We simply wanted to sit back and enjoy the solitude and unspoiled beauty of Hawaii. We found it at Moloaa Bay. The home was comfortable and ideally situated at the end of a road that not many people traveled. The beach was beautiful and perfect for early morning or evening walks - or swims. We slept with the relaxing sounds of the nearby waves and woke (sometimes) with the aid of a feral rooster which took us city folks back to a different time. The location was central to other interesting areas of the beautiful island and although we visited many, the one week there was just a sample of what it offered. A well written description of its features was provided by the owner and we found it to be very useful and accurate. We hope to return in the future and once again enjoy this experience."

  • A comfortable little nook

"We loved the space and waking up to tree top views. It was perfect location for day trips to the North or South. Highly recommend for couples who want a bit of privacy in a homely environment."
