  • Absolutely Amazing Place in Paradise!

"Words cannot express how perfect the accommodations are. Everything is high end, beautifully furnished. The kitchen is way more complete than even my home kitchen. It has lots of basic food supplies and seasonings to get you started. We love the basically THREE "on suites". Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Perfect for either three couples or a family of 6. The pool, BBQ and picnic area is just across the street from the condo as is the recycling center. Super convenient which was especially appreciated since we had two young granddaughters with us. This unit also provided us with a Pack n' Play and very nice high chair. We loved the two lanais (covered deck areas) which really adds to the already very roomy open floor plan. The main lanai even has a nice waterfall by it to add to the already perfect ambiance. Lots of DVDs of current and classic movies. The owner likes to provide all the ones that were filmed on Kauai too. Which brings me to the gorgeous artwork in the home. The owner spared no expense decorating with authentic Hawaiian pieces throughout the condo. It is absolutely by far the nicest condo we have ever stayed in at any of the islands. There's also lots of beach supplies, chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, snorkel equipment, sand toys, four bikes and a place to park your car securely in the attached double garage, The owner even has a high end washer and dryer inside with all the supplies. There is not one thing that the owner hasn't thought to include for your convenience. We love the central location of the condo in Princeville also. We took long walks every day. It is a mile from town and a few blocks from the ocean. There is also the Makai Golf Course a block away along with the beautiful St. Regis Hotel just a mile away. Really nice beaches are 10 minutes away. We always stay here when we come to Kauai because you can't top perfection!"

  • Home away from home

"We had never been to Hawaii so before going we researched which island would be best and ended up choosing Kauai. We don't like very touristy things. We feel like hotels and chains don't give us the full experience we desire when traveling. It was me, my husband, our 2 boys aged 1 and 3, my sister n law, and both mother and father n law. The house gave everyone their privacy but also the togetherness we wanted, was located right off the beach, and had a great feeling to it. We were quite active on this one week trip and the house was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of exploring Kauai. We cooked a lot while there and made good use of the deck. This house helped make this the perfect family vacation. Peter was very accommodating and gave us great recommendations of places to visit on the island. The location seemed very convenient for us."

  • What a great experience!

"We chose Gilligan's to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and we could not have picked a better place! The entire staff was helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed our stay so much, we were sad to leave. We were looking for privacy and seclusion & found the cottage to be the perfect tranquil getaway. The new granite countertops in the kitchen looked great, and added a touch of modern flair. Everything was clean & very well maintained, and we appreciated the motion light by the front door, to help guide us back in at night. The valley gets pretty dark at night, which I quite like. Living in a metropolis area, it was a welcome thing, and contributed to the peace and country feel. Each day as we headed out, we would close the house up , & were very happy at how quickly it cooled down when we returned, & opened everything back up again. The geckos were my favorite, and other than the crowing, we got a kick out of the roosters and chickens hanging out in the yard. Tony was a breeze to work with, very accommodating, and answered all of our questions. This was our first trip to Hawaii, and the cottage was the best initiation we could have hoped for. We hope to make it back someday, as it was an unforgettable experience! Mahalo! Sarah & Brett"

  • The perfect home base

"There are many reasons why I will stay here again. First, I love the central location to my favorite areas of Kauai (I love to visit Hanalei and Kapa'a). If you like to spend your days in different spots, then you would love it too because it is a great base of operations for all of your adventures. Also, the privacy and seclusion was exactly what I was looking for. We also brought our two little ones with us (2 and 4 yrs old) and they loved the place as well. The open floor plan was perfect for them to run around and play with their toys, and if they wanted to watch some videos then WiFi was available. They also loved the HUGE lawn area where we kicked a ball around and run about. The hammock was a huge hit too. The hot tub under the stars was my favorite, along with the outdoor shower. The place also boasts a ton of useful stuff. The ice maker/blender were constantly in use (iced coffees, pina coladas, etc) and the beach gear (specifically the umbrella, cooler and boogie board) was a life saver. Finally, the generous gift basket awaiting us upon arrival was very welcome, laden with perfect snacks and a critical bag of fresh ground coffee. We had an amazing family vacation and this place made it happen."
