  • Beautiful property

"So beautiful! The pictures are accurate so if you want to wake up looking at that view rent this condo! The birds, the waterfalls, the sound of the ocean...what's not to like about that? Zina and Steve were responsive to emails and calls. Buy TP because the resort won't provide. And there's a $20/day resort fee that's not mentioned. But the resort is beautiful, the room is beautiful and the views are like something out of a movie. Absolutely worth every penny. Thanks, Steve and Zina."

  • Beautiful unit. Very comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the view from the lanai and the friendly nene.

"Have previously stayed at the Hanalei Bay Resort. My very first time was the summer of 1969 before Princeville was developed. Have been enchanted by the Hanalei area ever simce. Property is gorgeous with spectacular views. Parking is an issue and although we regret that the restaurant was not open we understand the reasons."

  • Excellent stay

"Excellent place to stay, recently renovated unit, beautiful view. Access to resort amenities, pool and beach. We had a great experience without any issues and have no complaints. As others have mentioned, since you are renting privately there's no housekeeping coming by daily as they would in a hotel. Also the Bali Hai restaurant is still closed due to some issue regarding staff parking I believe, so doesn't sound like there's a known date of reopening. That said, this really wasn't an issue for us because we drove around to nearby places to eat in princeville and also other places on the island. Also, they have a swim up bar in the pool area as well as the Happy Talk Lounge which is a more casual restaurant but with good views and live music. So these were really not a big deal in our opinion (and that's coming from someone who is very picky!!)"

  • Hanalei Bay Resort

"We recently returned from spending 8 nights here at the Hanalei Bay Resort. We absolutely loved this part of Kauai it is truly beautiful. The 2 bedroom condo we stayed in at Hanalei Bay resort is the perfect place to sit back and enjoy this magical part of the world and also a great base for exploring. The condo is on the ground floor and is extremely spacious. It has two massive bedrooms each with their own bathrooms and doors to the patio and is suitable to either 2 couples or a family of 4 which was us. It has a massive living area and basic but we'll appointed kitchen so it is very easy to cook at home. The unit is furnished in true island style so helps you get into the aloha spirit! Some may find it a little dated but for us it was perfect. The views from the patio are amazing and we spent a lot of time just taking it all in. The resort itself has everything you need in terms of facilities and in general the staff were very helpful. Unless you intend to stay at the resort the entire time you definitely need to hire a car. Great spot and great condo and far more economical than St Regis next door with essentially the same views. We will definitely be back!!"
