  • Incredible location, fantastic resort & condo

"This condo at Hanalei Bay Resort was the perfect home base for exploring Kauai. The host is very responsive and ensured I had all the details I needed for my stay. From the moment I pulled up to the valet to check-in through until my check-out, the resort staff was welcoming and helpful. The condo, located on the top floor, has a gorgeous view of the pool and lounge area from the patio. The efficiency kitchen had all amenities needed. The bed was comfortable with the softest sheets ever. The condo is quiet. I enjoyed coffee on the patio each morning, before following a short trail down to a hidden beach (how cool is that?). The pool, lounge, and hot tubs are well-maintained. There are lots of walking trails from the resort around Princeville. The resort restaurant has one of the most incredible views around, with friendly staff and a decent menu. Though I didn't take advantage of them, there are lots of activities available at the resort - yoga, fitness, etc. The Princeville "center" has a grocery store, gas station, and shops and restaurants - and is only a 3-4minute drive from the condo. I couldn't have imagined a better place to stay in order to enjoy Kauai. It's a 10-minute drive from the condo to Hanalei town (lots of great food, small shops, water sport lessons/rentals, etc.). Easy drive to snorkeling beaches along the North Shore and headed back to the east side. It's even an easy day trip to Wailea Canyon State Park (the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific"). But truth be told, the lush north shore is the best place to stay. :) Highly recommend this condo and the Hanalei Bay Resort for anyone who wants a relaxing, all-amenities-included place to stay while enjoying exploring Kauai."

  • First Impression: AMAZING VIEW! Final Impression: When can we come back?!

"My fiancee and I had such a great stay here. We walked in the front door and immediately walked straight out to the patio to gaze at the sun setting over Hanalei Bay and Bali Hai. The murphy bed was surprisingly comfortable and we both slept great. The AC worked like a charm. I will say that the only minimal downside is that there's no real closet/dresser area and the walls are pretty thin but the overall value for the unit was fantastic. The patio was a great place to have some coffee and lookout over Hanalei Bay and say hello to the passing Nenes. The full kitchen worked well and was everything we could've wanted on a 5-night stay. We would absolutely come back and stay in this unit again!"

  • Comfortable and spacious

"HBR 1526 is a very spacious studio. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, and it is nice to have a dining table and chairs, and full counter for "kitchen" prep (although have to use sink in bathroom). Do your research; most HBR studios do not have the dining table and chairs, and have very small prep space. The location is private and serene, with the lush tropical landscaping and mountain views, easy access to main building and pool. The Aloha Condos staff was very responsive. When we arrived there was only one towel and one washcloth for the 8 days, so I called and even though housekeeping staff had left for the day, she came back and took care of the problem. The not so great details? The tub didn't drain well; in fact, the "closer" didn't work at all so you can't fill up the tub to take a bath. The grout around the tub needs to be replaced, it is stained and unsightly. Otherwise, the bathroom is fine; good showerhead. There could be some type of drawers added under the sink; that would be a nice touch. The large upholstered chair in the living space was beautiful to look at and very comfortable, but had a strong musty/mildew smell so I couldn't sit in it. I have allergies to that type of thing. Nice beach items - cooler, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards. There was also a welcome basket that was a nice touch. Overall, a good stay."

  • Nice resort in a beautiful location

"The Hanalei Bay resort is in a very scenic location. It has a great view of Hanalei Bay and we loved watching the sunset from the resort every night. It's a quick 10-15 minute walk down a fairly steep hill to the beach, and about a 10 minute drive to the city of Hanalei where most of the restaurants are located. Overall, the resort is great and beautiful and highly recommended. The unit itself is fairly nice as well - it has a partial ocean view from the back porch and the unit is equipped with beach chairs and beach towels and a number of other things that made us feel comfortably at home. The one drawback about this place is that the unit had a bug problem (there were a lot of mini cockroaches in all of the drawers and in the bathroom)."
