  • Great place for a family on Kauai

"We have visited Kauai 4 times now and stayed in a few different places but this house was definitely a favorite and we will surely be back. I stayed here with my husband and our 3 young children, ages 11, 9 and 3 and the house was very kid friendly, especially with the huge pool down the walkway. Our kids were very happy here. We were thankful for all of Tonya's recommendations including a local babysitter, which worked out great. One evening we could not figure out how to get the DVD player to work and the property manager came right over, we felt like they were on top of everything and the property was very well maintained. The landscaping around the house is gorgeous, some of the most beautiful we saw anywhere. My husband who is a painter set up his easel right out side the house and did some fantastic tropical botanical paintings. We love the north shore of Kauai and the Princeville location was ideal for everything that we wanted to do. Thanks for the wonderful stay!"

  • Spacious town home, good Princeville location

"We enjoyed our stay at Mauna Kai. The photos and descriptions are a good representation of the property. The town home was clean, and everything was in working order. There were plenty of towels, beach equipment and a well-outfitted kitchen. Having the master bedroom in the loft was a bit odd, but it didn't matter as we were traveling with older teens and young adults and we all went to bed and woke around the same time. The property is very close to other units. Fortunately, quiet hours were observed during out stay. We especially enjoyed the lanai and the outdoor pool across the street. The closest beach was down a steep, muddy trail, but there were plenty of other nearby beaches. We loved Queen's Bath, which was definitely worth the hike. We also enjoyed Hanalei restaurants and drinks at the St. Regis in Princeville. I would definitely recommend the Mauna Kai property to a friend."

  • Great place to stay!

"My family of 8 stayed here for 12 nights and it was the most perfect place for us. A full working kitchen, grill outside, nice pool, nice area to take walks, and super close to a great grocery store. The condo was the perfect size for all of us. It was so nice to save money by buying groceries and cooking all or our meals. We were very happy to find a huge bag of beach toys and noodles for the little ones and a couple of beach chairs. We left behind two boogie boards for the next guests. My kids loved the family movies that were there for a little down time in the evenings. The place was so nice and clean when we arrived so late at night that it nice to just drop our bags and climb into bed. This place is so accurate in its description that you will not be disappointed. Thank you for giving us such a great place to call home during our stay."
